MVP thus far?

I picked Conley because we all expected Oden to play this way. I didn't expect Conley to play as well as he has, at the point. Freshman don't just come in and run the offense as well as he has.

It certainly is a nice problem to have when you've got multiple players that are worthy of team MVP.

who do you got replacing conley? i don't think that either are replaceable!
all I was trying to say was that you could probably move Butler to PG, put Lewis at the 2, Cook at the 3 and you would probably have a pretty good team. Take away Oden and he cannot be replaced with someone who would have the same impact.

Conley and Oden for a midseason MVP is very close but I gave it to Oden for the reason mentioned above.

The real MVP is the coach, he brought them here, he has made it all work so far. Aside from that, I go with Butler. This kid scored a gazillion points in HS, ran the show, did whatever he wanted and won. Since he's been here, he's accepted every role he's been asked to do. Main shooter one year, point and feed Terrance another year, now 2 guard and sometimes point, filling both positions. That's an amazing accomplishment. Granted, Greg is the dominating force and will only grow to be more so. That's MVP worthy. But, if the MVP is really the Most Valuable, look deeper.

The More Valuable Than Expected Player (MVTEP) award should go to Conley. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award has to go to Oden. Now, let's see if we can find someone to give the Leader On The Floor (LOTF) award, before the season ends.:osu:

conley barely edges out hunter for the mvtep. barely.
my pick is othello hunter. i thought i was going to be the only one throwing things his way till this point.

hunters development has been rapid and allowed this team to do so many things that without him they would not be able to do. his growth as a basketball player has been tremendous, but his ability to play the 4, eat space and impact on the game has been tremendous. and vastly overlooked...

I had to go with Conley. Although its not really a legitimate vote, since I have to watch ACC basketball down here. I have only been able to see the nationally televised games and read what you guys/gals post on game day. So from what little I have seen and all the stuff you all write, its a push to Conley.

The best game our guys have played thus far was in Chapel Hill without Oden. Conley was near unstoppable in that game and as was previously mentioned aggressive in Florida also. Oden just appears on the court and the other team changes its stance but with Conley he has dictated from the opening tip of the season. If you ask this same question later in the year it may have a different answer but right now I've got to go with Conley.

Mike Conley Jr, he reminds me a lot of marcus williams (uconn PG last year) both are lefties with developing shots, but can run the offense very efficiently and are both extremely great passers. i like conley's quickness more than anything, so explosive at times and isnt afraid one bit to take it to the hoop despite his size. he also racks up assists like no other and hardly EVER turns the ball over.
