Being A Buckeye For One Single Play

Gonzo's TD catch scUM 2004.

MoC chasing down the Cryami DB and stripping the ball in the NC. Just a hell of a football play. It showed the tremendous heart that the kid had and what a waste all the garbage was later.

Chris Wells' 46 yard run bowling over three Texas defenders in overtime to win the 2006 NC in a re-match of the early season game in Austin that tOSU won 34-21.

You both beat me to them....

Also, I'd like to add in Holmes' over-the-shoulder TD catch against Texas....

Nate Salley on any of his numerous BIG hits or especially when he blocked the FG against MSU, or Youboty when he returned it.

Also AJ picking the blocked punt up against NW, the crowd noise fluctuation from the moment it was blocked to the time they all realized we and AJ of all people had picked it up and scored is as intense as it gets. So loud.

How about last years PSU game at the shoe, anyone remember Everetts INT for a TD? He slipped through 2 PSU receivers, did a 360 in the air and turned for the straight away to the endzone.

Alright guys.... I know the original post said football but I think it would have been pretty sweet being Syl hitting that game winning three against the Illini last year. I have never heard the Schott louder than that. As for the pigskin I would have to go with being Eddie against Notre Dame just so I could be in that famous picture with him running away from all those Irish bitches.

Here is one I just thought of:

Bobby Olive's last second TD catch against a top 10 ranked Iowa team at Iowa in 1990. That's about the only buzzer beater TD I can ever remember Ohio State scoring to beat a team.

I remember that game. I was at the Locker Room (a bar that used to be on the corner of 10th and High St.) watching with a few buddies. The bar was packed, and when we won the place went crazy. It was awesome. Didn't Greg Fry catch a TD pass in that game as well?

My first pick would be Will Allen's INT in the '02 scUM game. A close second is a play that I don't think has been mentioned yet...

2003 Fiesta Bowl. 1st OT. 4th and 14. Michael Jenkins runs a beautiful route and keeps the Buckeyes magic flowing. My most memorable Jenkins clutch play of a season filled with many.

For the sake of trying to come up with something different, Rickey Dudley's 3rd down grab in heavy traffic in the '95 Penn State game was absolutely huge. To do that in a key moment of a big game on the road and shutting up a hostile crowd like that would be pretty damn sweet.
