Best Buckeye hits of all time!!

Unfortunately I can't find a clip, but Keith Byars put a blindside block on Pepper Johnson (his roommate at OSU I believe) during a Giants-Eagles game that was unreal. I also second the nomination for the Zack Dumas hit: [youtube]gUk7KbaiTPw[/youtube]

The Keith Byars hit used to be on Youtube but CBS forced them to take it off. It was an awesome hit, Johnson was running at full speed trying to catch Randal Cunningham, Byars, T-boned him. The hit was so hard it cracked Johnsons helmet.

Some other great hits-

Tatum stops a 250 lb FB from Purdue trying to dive over the goal line.

In the 97 RB, Pace caught a LB trying to sneak around the corner. The LB from ASU was running parallel to the LOS and didn't see Pace getting ready to make the seal block.

Michael Wiley had the most devastating block on Lavar Arrington IMO. Arrington tries the Lavar Leap but Wiley stands up and Arrington ends up with a helmet to his groin. Never tried it again on Wiley.

Craig Powell in his jr. year vs um hits Tyrone Wheatley so hard that Wheatley falls down twice.

a couple Nate Salley Hits:

during the 2003 Michigan game, Braylon Edwards on an end around after he already gained probably 15-20 yards, salley rocked him sending him into the UM Band, never saw a replay but remember it vividly.

during the 2004 Michigan game, on a screen play to Mike Hart, big old David Baas was out in front lead blocking until Salley came in Kamikaze style and blasted baas. (who was over 300lbs) even though salley took himself out of the play he laid a hell of a hit on baas and it says a lot for a safety to knock an pulling offensive lineman on his ass.

I have the 1994 MSU game on DVD. I just don't know how to get clips from a DVD.

If you watch that game, I seem to recall Korey Stringer(RIP) just destroying the MSU defensive end. At one point the end (Pierre Roberson or something like that) takes a cheap shot on Korey. Next play Korey pancakes him and then takes a couple of steps and belly flops on the guy.

Just realized today that the Tito Paul hit finally made it up on YouTube.

[ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=Thl1UshLfY0]YouTube - Tito Paul hits Mason[/ame]

As did a very grainy copy of Doss bouncing Kittner's head off the astroturf.

[ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=ou2oWgcj9q8]YouTube - Ohio State's Mike Doss levels Illinois' Kurt Kittner 2000[/ame]

nate salley was so underrated in his time... he laid the wood hard...
we referred to him as "hit stick" in school, because it was about the same time madden implemented the "hit stick" in the game
