The scene where Spidy first confronts the Sandman around the truck on the narrow street was shot downtown on Euclid Avenue. There may have been others, but that is the only one I immediately recognized when I saw the movie.

Yeah, they closed down Euclid Avenue for that (I worked around the corner and traffic SUCKED). BUT, none of the main characters came to Cleveland. They just used it for the stunts and CGI'd the characters into the scene.

Sound of Music... the mountain scenes were all shot in Mansfield.
A River Runs Through It... was shot at OSU
Gone With the Wind... was shot in Cincinnati and Camp Denison, except the burning of Atlanta scene which was shot in Dayton.
The French Connection... was shot at Versailles and Bellaire
and that cornfield in Field of Dreams was really right outside Nelsonville.
Ishtar was filmed in Sandusky but Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was shot in South Bend. Lincoln was shot in Ford's Theatre.

I'm pretty sure none of those first three were actually filmed in Ohio, just set here.
At least one scene from Tommy Boy was in fact filmed in Ohio. When David Spade and Chris Farley get into the fight on the road, they step out of the car at Prehistoric Forest. This is an actual place in the Sandusky area if I remember. Used to be awesome for kids, they'd take you through the woods in a train thing pulled by a truck, they'd have fake guns under the seats and giant dinosaur sculptures along the way. They'd play the same tape each time you went through too, a guide pointing different creatures and freaking out anytime a dangerous dinosaur/creature was nearby. Got some hilarious home videos of this, too bad they no longer do the train thing.

I am going to have to disagree with atleast 3 of these.

And let us remember that The Big Chill, a film about Michigan alums and involving suicide, infidelity, drug and alcohol abuse and a loss to Michigan State was filmed in North Carolina. Says a lot about the place.

Also, "A Better Way to Die", starring Natasha Henstridge and LDP was partially filmed in Newark. They wanted to use our kick ass courthouse.

Natasha Henstridge + Licking County = A perfect match.

Silence of the Lambs - Bellaire
American Splendor - Cleveland
The Dead Matter - Mansfield, Bellville
Horrors of War - Mansfield, Shade

I think 'Little Man Tate' was filmed in Cbus and Cinci. I've never seen it, so I can't really confirm - just something I heard while in school.
