So was the overall tone of his responses as positive as with the OSU visit? And what would you say our chances are of getting Curtis in light of his visit?

He would more than make up for Jordan Hicks. I just hope we have enough spots for him, with Ejuan Price, James Vaughters, Aundrey Walker and now Ja'Juan Story all in the mix for the last 3. Since Aundrey Walker is hopefully a given, that means we have 2 spots left. Price is committing today, most likely to OSU as there's no reason for him to do it early if it was Iowa. That leaves James, Ja'Juan, Curtis, and a number of lower-ranked recruits for the last spot. Come'on Curt, we've got this last spot saved for you!

Btw, can anyone tell me what happens if someone else commits before Curtis but he wants to come here? Is it that we won't have enough scholarships, meaning he'll have to go elsewhere? Or can we still give him a scholarship from next year or something?

They will take him no questions asked..

Maybe so, but I've been watching Curtis since the very first Rivals 2011 rankings, and so I was unbelievably pumped when OSU got added to his list. Logistics work out as well, as every school in the top 8 except us has a 5 star, and so he'll be our 5 star and round the rankings out.

Come on Curtis, don't break my heart!

Don't worry, if he does commit they'll drop down to a 4 star.

...... crap. I hope thats just a generic pr answer, because when other recruits have said that it means they're going elsewhere (*cough Seantrel Henderson *cough).
I'm sure you realize that some "sky is falling" Florida fan just posted the exact same thing on one of their message boards....

Comparing Curtis Grant to Seantrel Henderson astounds me...

Haha yeah don't worry, I'm relaxed. I may come across as a bit overzealous at times, but that is only my buckeye passion shining through.

Cincinnatibuck, you're forgetting Ben Roethlisberger, Anthony Dixon, Jordan Hicks, Latwan Anderson and a few other sure bet Ohio State signees who got away. I think Curtis is still coming here (hopefully) but we're at 1 for 5 in terms of prospects who declared in late january/early february.

Bringing up Big Ben, who was offered as a tight end, really helps your credibility, particularly with how far back you had to reach for that example.

If history was as great a predictor as you're claiming for the volatile world of recruiting, than Ryan Shazier wouldn't be a buckeye either.

Keith Wells, Orhian Johnson, Cameron Heyward, Larry Grant all decided very late. No one claims OSU dominates in January, just that preparing for the sky to fall is a pretty sad way to go through life. Enjoy the ride.

Latwan Anderson didn't "get away." There's a great reason that he never even got an offer.

Has he suited up ANYWHERE yet?
