Illinois goes into Wisky and gets a rare Wisconsin home loss. Wow.

63-56 final.
What a weird game. Illini win on the road while their "star" Mike Davis goes scoreless. Badgers got into one of their "can't hit the ocean from the beach" scoring funks. Of Illinois's 63 points, 46 came from the duo of Demetri McCamey and Bat Boy Tisdale.

Shocking loss for UW. They hadn't lost to an unranked Big 10 team at home since 2000. Yes, that was before Bo Ryan was there. Ironically, 2000 happens to be the same year when UW last went to the Final Four.

No way the Badgers would've lost that game at 100%. They couldn't stop McCamey all game (who BTW has played like a first-team all Big 10 performer lately) and did a poor job of covering Tisdale. It was a let down game for Wisky coming off of a great week.

I'm glad UW lost because as others have said, their schedule was the softest down the stretch of any of the contenders & I wasn't convinced they'd lose any more regular season games.

Michigan State getting robbed twice there towards the end of the half, first with Purdue getting the ball from an out of bounds call that Moore clearly touched, and then a phantom foul on a three pointer giving three shots.

With tonight's results, OSU moves into a four-way tie atop the Big 10 standings. Buckeyes control their own destiny for a regular season championship, but will have to go thru the B10's best before the conference tourney (ILL 2x, PUR, @ Sparty, also @ IND, @ PSU, UM). Tough to think that the Bucks can handle that without dropping at least one, but they seem to be peaking at the right time. Plus, the other B10 teams have big games left, as well. Guess I picked the wrong month to stop drinking.

Technically... the Bucks must win tonight to move into a 3-way tie. MSU and Illinois are 9-3, Purdue is now 8-3 and OSU is currently 8-3.

I'm just excited that the Bucks control their own destiny after their 3-3 start. If they can go 6-1 down the stretch I think they can grab the regular season title.

Shocking because UW rarely loses at home. However, I think that UW has been playing lights out even though they haven't had Leuer. They've been very fortunate not to have lost a game or two more than they have since he's gone down.

No way the Badgers would've lost that game at 100%. They couldn't stop McCamey all game (who BTW has played like a first-team all Big 10 performer lately) and did a poor job of covering Tisdale.

Who were they missing besides Leuer? He wouldn't have stopped McCamey.

Maybe. Then again, maybe UW's just been playing lights out recently (something near 70% FG and 3PT% against UM) and the UW team you saw last night more closely resembles the real UW team without Leuer.

I'm glad UW lost because as others have said, their schedule was the softest down the stretch of any of the contenders & I wasn't convinced they'd lose any more regular season games.

Like I said before, they'll lose one of @MIN and @ILL, and if they play like they did last night, they'll lose both.
