Big 12 CCG: Mizzou 21, Oklahoma 62 (Final)

Chase Daniel = Colt Brennan = Timmy Chang = Texas Tech QBs

When it comes to the NFL, nothing to see here...move along.

Don't be surprised when Sam Bradford = Jason White, too. Anybody remember him?

c'mon man.....comparing Sam Bradford to Jason White is just absurd.

One has an NFL arm, the other didn't.

One has an NFL body, the other didn't.

One has some mobility, the other didn't.

Jason White was a good college QB, but how many people considered him as a first round pick in the draft? Nobody did, thats who. Was White even drafted? Jason White benefited from a beast of a RB in Adrien Peterson his Heisman year. He also had some badass college receivers, especially in Mark Clayton.

Demarco Murray is nice, but hes no All Day. Sam Bradford is at worst a second rounder should he leave this year, probably a first rounder.

If he sticks around he's a first rounder next year.

There is a reason Jason White stayed 13 years at OU. Mostly b/c he had no future in the NFL...

I think Sam Bradford is winning himself the Hypesman tonight.

279 yards, 2 TDs, so far, but he's got a long way to go to match...

Juice Williams versus Mizzou: 451 yards, 5 TDs

Juice Williams for Heisman!

Yea,because obviously Terrelle Pryor=Troy Smith,Art Schichter or any other buckeye qb in the nfl, that has yet to do anything..The history of each team obviously dictates all future qbs from that school for the rest of eternity.

That should be Mike Leach's recruiting speech..Yes,you will have a million passing yards here at Texas Tech but Jake on buckeyeplanet already has it figured out..No reason to come here

List the Texas Tech record setting QBs playing in the NFL.

It won't take long.

Could prove to be true...but you're also talking about an offensive line that has two sure fire first round picks in Duke Robinson and Loadholt.

I think the championship has great potential to show UF's defense as fraudulent, and OU's defense as underrated.

I can see your argument to the extent that Florida's defense resembles more to last year's D vs. Michigan than the one that played OSU. But all the youngsters have had a year of experience under their belt, and the middle of Florida's defense is very strong. Add a couple of freak speed rushers like Dunlap and Cunningham and that spells big trouble for any offense.

Jason White actually had more yards passing the year before AP came to Norman. That year, Jason White passed for 3800 yards, and a guy by the name of Mark Clayton had close to 1400 yards receiving, and the WR corp was generally labeled as the best YAC getters in the country. I can't help but see the similarities, even with respect to the controversy surrounding OU's selection after their blowout loss to KSU (35-7). Speedy DLs love qbs that sit in the pocket and offenses that live and die by qbs that sit in the pocket. I just happen to think that Florida's DL will have their field day in Jan.

Does Bradford really sit in the pocket that long though? Most of his throws are quick reads. Not to say he doesn't sit sometimes, waiting for receivers to break free, but OU's offense is built on a solid run game that sets up the pass. When OU is clicking, Bradford is taking the snap, and snapping it out quick.

They attack seams in the defense, and short throws that allow the receivers to make YAC.

OU doesn't give up many sacks, b/c guys like Loadholt and Robinson are road graders that force teams to focus on the run. When they throw, it gives Bradford just a little more time.

If UF beats Oklahoma, the secondary will have to have a great night. The DL will have to stop the run. But I doubt Bradford spends much time on his back, b/c his throws aren't designed to sit in the pocket for long periods of time.

Because, you know, Terrelle Pryor resembles either one of those in any way. Meanwhile the type of QB that Jake listed were essentially carbon copy system QBs.

That just about IS Mike Leach's recruiting speech. He usually isn't recruiting 4 or 5 star QBs.

No 2 qb's are exactly the same. Regardless of "style" of play. It makes absolutely no difference. If you are going to lump qb's by college, then so be it. Have you ever said someone like Carson Palmer is a "OU quarterback"...Doubtful..Jersey color, and team name.
