Yeah I am not saying I agree with preseason rankings, but still to give be a 21 point underdog to a team that lost to south fl. is ridiculous, and they are still one of the better teams in the big least.

Even know scUM isnt as good as they were picked to be they were still favored by 3 points against the leader of the big ten. The conferences dont even compare.

I don't even think LLLyod's team would lose a game in the big least.

If we were in the big Least we would play for national championships everyyear b/c we would never lose.

well at least 1 person gives credit to a 10-1 WVU team. When the big East was formed, everyone said the same thing. The BE sucks, will never survive, blah blah blah.....guys the BE lost 1 elite team and 2 other good ones. I dont consider BC and VT to be elite becasue they usually sucked in the BE. the last 3 years, BC and VT never finished above 3rd in the BE. Give the BE some time to build back up...when a conference losses 3 good teams, it is going to suffer. Take away OSU, UM, and wisc from the Big 10, the conf. takes a pretty big hit. Take away USC, UCLA, and Cal and the Pac 10 takes a big hit. Give it some time guys, the BE will be fine. If Louisville can figure out how to play some defense, they will be very good. Pitt sucks this year, but they are getting some VERY nice recruits. Wanstadt will have them better. Laugh all u want, but even lowly Rutgers is getting better. Give Robinson some time with Cuse, and they will field some decent teams. One poster on here already said the Dantonio will have UC pretty decent in a few years.

If the BE doenst deserve the BCS, name another conf that does. MWC??hahaha. WAC???hahaha Mac???HAHAHA....BE has fans, and thats what bowls want. wether WVU goes to a BCS game or not, we take 40,000+ fans with us. Bowls dont give a rats ass who plays in the games, as long as they sell tickets. The BE is located in the biggest TV market in the country.

Now in not saying WVU could win the B10, or even come close. Im not saying WVU is as good as OSU, but come on, give us some credit. Like i said before, WVU cant help the conf sucks, all we can do is go out and win, and thats what were doing. Who's to say we dont go to a BCS game and win??? if theres no chance of winning, then why play? We may get rocked, but we may win. thats left to be seen.

I don't think any other conference deserves the BCS bid. I especially don't think the BE deserves one until it becomes a legitimate conference again. If your best team is pretty good, then they can earn an at large bid, like Utah did last year. Otherwise, it allows horrible teams like 04 Pitt into the elite set of bowls.

The last BCS spot should have gone to the highest BCS-ranked representative out of all of these conferences (Big East, Mtn West, WAC, Conf. USA, MAC, Sun Belt). It would have been fair.

The reason it wasn't done that way is found in the last sentence in the paragraph of yours I quoted. And effective lobbying by the commisioner - Mike Tranghese earns his money.

Exactly....but give us time to prove ourselves. I said earlier that if after 2007, the BE still blows chunks, then pull it. give the conf. time to prove itself.

lets say this. Lets say WVU goes to the Sugar bowl and plays LSU. Say we beat LSU. Say louisville goes to the gator bowl(granting ND gets an at large BCS bid) and beats Miami. Rutgers goes to the Car Care bowl and at least shows up against BC or something. What would you say then? Would that be good enough to prove ourselves? I mean, winning shuts everyone up, right? Or would everyteam in the BE still suck because thats what you have engraved in your head.

Take away Ohio State, TSUN, and Penn State from the Big Ten and what do you have?

Eight teams that lost a total of 3 OOC games despite playing some really tough teams.

Take WVU, Louisville, and Rutgers and what do you have?

Losses at South Florida and Illinois for goodness sakes and close games against Wofford and Buffalo.

I know it would really make you happy but I'm afraid that there is no way that I can really respect any of these teams based on their records or believe that they will do anything except lose against quality opposition.

Now, let's say that Jessica Simpson arrives at your front door, and...

And they lost to Illinois, a team that has given up 60 points in conference play....twice.
