A look at how delusional some illini fans are, from their scout board:

List of interesting names:

Shaka Smart
Buzz Williams
Scott Drew
Anthony Grant
Brad Stevens
Billy Donovan
Billy Donovan?

As someone else pointed out earlier.

Thad Matta. Unfortunately, inter league coaching move highly unlikely.
:slappy:

This isn't a joke:

Bill Self: Maybe he feels guilty and/or has unfinished business at Illinois. We can send Tupper over to beg.
Thad Matta: We'll do a Mea Culpa and ask for forgiveness for dissing him the first time. He will be closer to Hoopston...the place EVERYONE wants to go back to and live after college!
Bob Knight: it would sell tickets and think of the IU games!
Coach K: Be the first coach to take two teams to 8 Final Fours each and 4 titles each!
WOW. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I guess a more realistic list would be:

Steve Alford
Tommy Amaker
Keno Davis
Chris Mack
Shaka Smart

I don't know if Brad Stevens would leave Butler for anything but the Connecticut, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina or Syracuse job (whenever they open).

Bruce Weber will be done after Illinois inevitably loses in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Terrible. :shake:
They have to get to the NCAA tournament first:wink: I don't know what has happened to him because he used to be a pretty good basketball coach. I get the feeling that his players don't really listen to him and think that they are still on the playground.

I don't think he's ever been more than a very average coach and recruiter. He won early with Bill Self's recruits.

The timing couldn't have been worse for Purdue's D.J. Byrd.

The Boilermakers junior wing had finally started to establish himself as a key player on this team, averaging nearly 17 points per game over the past five contests. Then he gets arrested for public intoxication.

Don't be shocked if Byrd doesn't play in Sunday's home game against No. 8 Michigan State. Byrd, according to the student newspaper The Exponent, was arrested on Thursday night. He was booked into jail at 3:35 a.m. and released at 8:31 a.m.

Purdue has won two straight, against Northwestern at home and at Illinois, in order to get back on track after it appeared as though the Boilermakers were headed towards the NIT route.

Byrd, who is averaging eight points per game this season, has been a major reason. He was 7-of-9 from deep in a close lose in Columbus to Ohio State and finished with 13 points and was 3-of-6 from beyond the arc in the win over the Illini earlier this week.

Byrd is 18-of-34 from 3-point range in the past five games.

Purdue is 17-9 overall and 7-6 in Big Ten play with five games left in the regular season
