If I were a High School quarterback, hypothetically lets say, from Pennsylvania, I'd take off running about 1 minute into my visit to this school, er,uh, impending train-wreck, just "north" of the border.

Let's break this down, scUM loses its best OL from a unit that gave up, what? 35 sacks against the Buckeyes this year (ask Henne, he'll agree with the #). They lose their top three offensive weapons in Hart, Mario, and Arrington that put up a whopping 91 yards in total offense against the Buckeyes. Looks like a pretty tough decision to me. No one to block for me, no one to hand off to, no one to pass to. Screw It!! I'm going to TOSU!! I've always wanted to anyway!!

And as far as scUM goes, the QB job isn't something you sign on for. It's something you should be "sentenced" to. :scum4:

What the hell is Devin Thomas doing leaving for the NFL? That is shocking to me. Anyone else think it's a big mistake?

Personally I think he projects well for the NFL. He's 6'2" 220. His bulk will help him get off bump coverage by the NFL DBs, where thinner guys like Hardy and Manningham might struggle. He was also in the top 5 in the nation in return yards and averaged 30 yards a return. His TDs took a pretty good hit to Michigan State's strength in the run game and Hoyer's inconsistancy. I think Manninghams numbers were hurt as well with Henne's inconsistancy. But both still averaged about 16 yards per catch. I personally don't think he'll be a number 1 reciever but he'll be a great number 2.

Ghoston, Mendenhall, Manningham, all three should contribute nicely. I think Ghoston will go first, mostly because the early teams in the draft need d-linemen and linebackers, Mendenhall should make a nice dent where ever he goes, good runningbacks are hard to find and you can start them young, and manningham will take a year or two to develop, but he should be a nice player in the long run.

The 4 best receivers in the league all leaving. The best non-Beanie RB in the league leaving. The best non-Buckeye CB in the league leaving.

Ohio State may set a record for the number of All-Big-Ten players from one team next year.

Damn....my favorite corner in this year's draft. Hope the Eagles take a late round flier on him then :)

I've got a feeling whatever money he misses out on now, he will make up for later in his career.

I don't think Jack is the same caliber athlete as Antonio Cromartie, but if a team see's that lockdown potential it's worth an early draft choice.

Lot's of speculation on Cromartie before the draft was that he was a 2nd or 3rd round pick. The Chargers saw a potential game-changer and took him even with the injury.

I don't think Jack will slide too far. Corners are too valuable.

I agree with that, the kid has SOOOO much potential, he is IMO the best corner coming out this year- he won't fall too far
