Boston Celtics (17x NBA champions)

No respect for Cleveland eh?

Of course not. What have they done to deserve respect? They only return everyone (conditioned upon AV's return) from a team that beat Detroit in six. They only have the best player in the conference, who, if I am not mistaken, is getting better with age and experience.

Certainly that team is now inferior to Toronto and the team they beat in 6 (Detroit).

And what if that one player is hurt, ?

That's like saying:

"How good would Phoenix be without Steve Nash?"

"How good would San Antonio be without Tim Duncan?"

"How good would the Lakers be without Kobe?"

On any good team, if you take away the best player, that team is going to suffer. Fortunately, since the Celtics aren't a good team, you don't have to worry about that.

The lakers work, the other two don't. The spurs and phoenix can win games without nash and duncan (although not as many). The Lakers and the Cavs can't win without Lebron and Kobe.

As far as 4th seed, I stick to it, it's not a slap to the face though. I think Detroit is the better team doesn't mean that Cleveland doesn't have the ability to beat them, just like last year. Lebron doesn't have to be injuried to lose to Detroit, if he plays an 'average' series instead of a great one Detroit wins the series. I'm pretty sure Detroit won the series vs. you in the regular season too (I might be wrong I don't follow the Cavs too close).

Chicago, I think they will win the East, they are a young core that have grown up together and have what appears to be an improved Tyrus Thomas (playing only his fourth season of basketball ever). Plus Noah should help out a lot with depth and size.

Toronto, I think they are building a nice team, plus they are tough at home. I have them and Cleveland as basically the same, but I prefer Toronto. You didn't do anything to truely better your team, 4th seed is not a slap to the face, you can still easily make it to the finals.

I believe Cleveland took the season series against Chicago and Toronto though.

Chicago still has no post offense, so if they're tired or their jumpers aren't falling, they're ridiculously vulnerable. Their defense will save them against the bad teams in the East, but against Cleveland and Detroit, teams with defenses just as good, it won't matter.

What did Chicago do to make their team better, or Detroit? Do you really think a few rookies will have that great an impact that it will alter the playoff seedings?

I really just see this as Cavs backlash because of the Finals.

1. I'm a Chicago homer.
2. I really do think Tyrus Thomas will have come a long way this season.
3. Joe Smith will help interior defense, and I do think Noah will help out.

I don't think Detroit did much to get better, I just think they would win most best of 7's although Cleveland won the one that counts. (Just like I will rank the Mavs over Golden State in my west rankings, despite GS destroying them). The raptors... who knows it is mostly just a hunch. I'm sure their will be other problems besides the Cavs when its all said and done, if anyone should be 'offended' by my list it should be Heat fans as I think they will suck.

No one is really expecting much from the Heat this year, not even any of the national Wade dick sucke....I mean analysts.

I just think there's a clear top three of Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland that could go any way depending on a number of factors(does Lebron give a shit for the first half of the season instead of phoning it in? Does Chicago find someone that can score consistently inside? Can Detroit rectify any internal fighting that's been going on?).

After that there's Toronto and New Jersey.

After those two, there's the rest of the league.

I would agree to this, but i'd put Boston in the NJ and Toronto mix.
