I'm sure that it was, now that it's happened.

It came to the point where they were going to suspend him without pay for faking an injury. He wasn't playing hard, and the team was getting fed up with it. It showed. Time to move on, and it looks like we have just fine. (Bay was 4-5 last night with a pie in the face.)

Report: Yastrzemski to undergo heart bypass surgery

BOSTON -- Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski, the last player to hit for the Triple Crown, was hospitalized for tests Tuesday after experiencing chest pains.
The Boston Red Sox confirmed the 68-year-old Yastrzemski was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital and was undergoing evaluation and testing. The team said no further information was immediately available on its longtime great.
The Boston Globe, citing an unnamed source, reported that Yastrzemski will have to undergo heart bypass surgery to fix a blockage in one of his main arteries.
Asked whether it was serious, Yastrzemski spokesman Dick Gordon said: "Any time you are in the hospital, it's got to be pretty serious."
