We lose to Purdue and we might be staring at a 7-game losing streak. At minimum.

Holtmann's probably never had one of those outside of maybe his first season at Gardner Webb. He's definitely been looking pretty down the past couple post-gamers.

I didn't see this until now but I'd have voted "no" in the poll. Even if the boys win all of their remaining home games (improbable) that only gets them 19 wins, and the road schedule is pretty brutal.

Currently projected a 9 seed which seems crazy. Weak bubble maybe? Anyway after TTUN we have some winnable games. We gotta beat Rutgers, Penn State and Illinois for sure. It would be ideal to beat Indiana but probably wouldn't be season killing. Then we finish with some tough games other than 2 against Northwestern.

If we win the games we should I can see us getting to 18 before the Big Ten Tournament. Win a couple borderline games to get to 20 wins and the way the experts are projecting us you would have to think we are in. A win or two in the Big Ten Tournament would be the icing on the cake.

In short, despite the last 6 games we are still in ok position for the NCAAs as long as we go at least 3-2 over the next 5.

Overall strength of the B1G helping them out. Experts projecting 9-10 from B1G as of today, so if they can some how get around .500 in B1G play, they may sneak in.

Right now, I'd put $ on them getting a pretty high seed in the NIT, hosting a game or two, and maybe getting another game in St. John Arena this season?
