CB Donnie Evege (official thread)

I love when I see these topics back at the top of the screen. Everyone gets so enamored with the late commits and can we close or not that guys like Donnie get ignored. Here is a great prospect with very good skills (that can be honed to great skills) that because he committed months ago gets lost. If Donnie was deciding right now his thread would be as crazy as JB's with everyone saying how desperate we are for true lock down corners.

First post on Buckeye Planet!

OSUGrad21,

I would agree with you about Donnie being a red-shirt kid, but he is enrolling early. Given the history of kids that enroll early at OSU they do not redshirt.

I would guess that he will be a special teams demon, maybe a great gunner on punts, his first season at OSU.

Welcome to the board! I think you have a good point there, OSU does have a history of not redshirting early enrolling freshman.

Very good point...but given the logjam in the secondary amongst the young guys, I would not be surprised to see him RS.

However, as you stated, the early enrollment will help.

Adjusted the thread title...BG shows him having signed but I just remembered he has been enrolled at OSU for the last few weeks so he would not have signed an LOI.
