Celtics-Heat 2nd round

The fix is in.

Glen Davis has been fouled back to back times down the court, but no call.

Meanwhile on the other side of the court, back to back touch fouls in favor of the Heat.

Literally everytime down the court, Miami is getting foul shots.

And thats the game.

10 point deficit with 4 minutes left.

Few minutes ago it was a 2 point game. That jumpshot by Lebron is the first basket they have scored in 4 minutes. Yet they got free throws everytime down.

Damnit Boston!

FWIW, I thought the officiating tonight was fairly even. They called some crap, but they called it on both ends.

Wade thinks he didn't foul Rondo. :slappy: No you dumbass, you just gave him a body shove from the side going to the rim. That's not a foul at all.

The second tech is an automatic ejection. He head butted Jones and somehow this warranted a double tech. I guess Jones face got in the way of Pierce.

The second tech stemmed from a bad call from the ref...but knowing you already have 1 technical, you have to keep your mouth shut. He was running his mouth at the ref after the call which is a big no no this year.

Are fucking serious? Seriously, that's how you viewed it? GTFOH....

Pierce head-butted Jones? On what planet?? He went in to talk-shit and eskimo-kissed him. LOL, a head-butt....

The second technical comes from Dwayne Wade lowering a shoulder into Pierce's ribs. It was a dirty play...just like James Jones wrapping Pierce up around the neck...

Mind you, both fucking plays came after Jermiane O'Neal was levied a fucking flagrant foul for chipping James Jones coming through the lane. It was a hard foul yes, but a flagrant? No fucking way. And then James Jones can rodeo tackle Pierce to prevent a 3 point play, and then Wade can blatantly lower a shoulder on a clean screen.

Your observation of the game sucks...no offense.

Boston just isn't good enough. Athletically they cannot compete, but at the same time they're playing right into Miami's hands.

Boston feels that by playing slow they can out-physical the Heat, but instead they're just limiting any offense they can muster. Their field-goal percentage sucks, and on long rebounds Miami is able to push tempo.

Not to mention Wade and LeBron are playing exceptionally well. Even if Boston were playing good basketball, it's hard to imagine them winning either of the first 2 games. Miami has flat out been the better team.

I've thought Miami would win the title the entire season, and that taking 4 games from them in a best of 7 would be nearly impossible...they're proving it now.

And I'm hating every second of it.

Bron was out of his mind in the second half tonight. That block on Garnett was frigging sick. And I think Allen is still looking for his ankle braces after the move Wade put on him.

Athletically, these are the 2 premier players in the NBA. When both are on, goodnight.

I'm hoping they can't sustain this pace, but they seem to be making up for a lackluster series against Philly. It's disappointing as someone who wants to see the Heat fail, to watch Boston get completely outplayed. Every time Danny Ainge came onto the screen I thought to myself "you're a fucking idiot". Garnett has been in foul trouble both games, and although O'Neil has given good minutes, nobody is an enforcer in the paint, and that edge/swagger is just lost. Good game from Green tonight though, after a poor game 1.

I like the Heat in 5. Before the series I thought Heat in 6.

It's going to take a special series from any team to knock the Heat off. Let's be serious though, as Cleveland fans, this should have been expected...it's what happens to us.

Not to bring the discussion back to Game 1, but this is spot on--Wade made a dirty play by lowering his shoulder and attempting to run straight through the Pierce screen. Then (and I never heard this point made by any commentator) Wade did his typical punk move anytime he initiates contact in a game--he got up in Pierce's face and stared him down. Those two actions by Wade prompted the exchange of words and the resulting ridiculous technical.

Pierce needs to keep his mouth completely shut knowing he already had a T.

I'll refrase...he initiated contact with his head into an opossing players face. A technical will get called from that 99 times out of 100....and the ref gave a double technical. So Jones was penalized for his role in that "altercation" as well. The foul Jones made was a hard foul on Pierce....ball fake gets Jones in the air, he comes down on him. I've seen harder fouls get called flagrant and I've seen softer fouls get called flagrant.

Hell, Rondo just bearhugged James on a breakaway with no effort to get the ball in the first Q. I'm not sure what the NBA rule is for flagrant fouls I know in college you at least make an effort to get at the ball. There were hard fouls going on both sides.

I'm not debating that the second T was the result of a bad call. Just that Pierce should not utter a word since he already had a T and it was a close game late in the 4th.

so you're basically saying that Wade did what he always does and Pierce still fell for it and got kicked out of the game. Who's fault is that, again?

You're right--he should quietly stand there while Wade attempts to truck him and then jumps in his face. He should've known that simply responding verbally would've gotten him thrown out. :roll2:

News flash--guys do what Pierce did and get called for a T probably less than 1% of the time.

David Stern's, for taking a good sport and turning it into something akin to professional wrestling that is followed closely by bandwagon jumping Heat fanboys?
