Game Thread CFP Semifinal: Ohio State vs. Clemson, Sat 12/31 @ 7p ET, ESPN

Mark May is getting laid tonight.

Wow.

Your offensive staff...it just needs to be nuked.

Honestly, in a way we should be glad.

For too long, we've coasted and allowed the defense and/or JT to simply will us to wins despite putrid offensive coaching.

And most Ohio State fans were too delusional, or simply refused, to see it. For 90+ pages of The Game thread, we saw the truth - and then we got lucky with a pick six and a miraculous JT run, and again chose to rationalize away the huge flaws that have been plaguing this team for the past 2 years. I'm guessing Urban was in the same boat.

There's no rationalizing away a 24-0 depantsing on National Television in the biggest game of the year. This time, Urban will be forced to make changes (that some of us have been calling for, for the past 2 years) - and in the end we'll be better for it.
I don't think many have been rationalizing it. We've just been hoping and supporting in spite of it because that's what fans do.

I know Beck is the popular whipping boy, and he's absolutely sharing blame, but I don't see many people mentioning Warriner. He's the guy calling these...um...questionable plays. I'll forever be thankful to him for the Slobs. The man might be the best OL coach we've ever had. But he's a dime-store OC.

It looked like Beck was making some game calls, but this falls on the game prep that happened the weeks before the game....there's only so much you can change mid stream.

Can we send him back and have Co-OL coaches?
