Charlie Weis (ex-Kansas HC, ex-Fla OC, Notre Dame legend, UnDecided Schematic Advantage)

Willingham sucked for 2 years before being fired. ND didn't exactly suck last year. So, these idiots who are playing the race card trying to compare the 2 situations aren't even close to being on. Willingham deserved to be fired when he did. Weis definiately did better than Ty in year 1 and 2. Year 3 is a step back, but only if he still sucks in year 4, is it time to consider letting him go.

Well, maybe it is time to bring in the Gladiator or the Terminator to form a special bond with the belaeguered coach and inspire them back to victory.

It seems to have worked for LLLLLoyd Carr.

Sheesh, that was pitiful...

You can prove that Charlie Weis is an offensive genius using science...

Two of the best recruiting classes in the country + "them purty Super Bowl rings" + "schematic advantage" = ranked 119 out of 119 FCS teams on total offense after four weeks of play http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2007&div=4&rpt=IA_teamtotoff&site=org.

You'd have to be a genius to figure out how to turn that into dead last place and it's hard to believe anyone wouldn't find that offensive!

1. ND won't let him go yet.
2. 2 wins? who are they going to beat?

Not to mention it's a terrible fit because the Giants fought today with guile and determination to gut out a big road win against a meaningful team in a physical game where they out-executed their opponents in the 2nd half and made a big defensive stand at the end of a game...all qualities that Weis obviously has absolutely no interest in whatsoever.

Charlie Weis goes on Hunger Strike
SOUTH BEND?After leading Notre Dame to it?s first ever 0-4 start, Charlie Weis has announced that he is going on a hunger strike.

?I will not eat another bite until this team wins a ball game,? said Weis at a recent press conference.

Weis then stuffed an entire glazed donut into his mouth before saying, ?There. That was the last one. No more until we win. I mean it.?

After failing to rally his team to victory for the fourth week in a row, it appears Weis has taken a page from the playbook of Mahatma Gandhi.
Last week Weis attempted to motivate his team by ?starting the season over? with an intense week of practice and by pretending that the first three games never happened. Weis also announced that, at no time, was he ever tied up in his underwear at fat camp and forced to sing ?I?m a Little Teapot.?

Weis says that he looks forward to starting the season over again next week at Purdue. Analysts predict that an 8 game season will be a big advantage for the Irish over other teams that have to play 12 games.

Weis didn't keep promise to Notre Dame family

Notre Dame football head coach Charlie Weis broke a sacred promise to his football team and fans by losing to MSU 31-14 on Saturday. In the summer of 2006, Weis told the Notre Dame faithful that they would never have to worry about losing to the Spartans again.
Well, Charlie, have you ever heard of the phrase, "Liar, liar, pants on fire?"

Jones finally was released from his ND schlorship Friday

September 23, 2007
D.J. says goodbye

Demetrius Jones was wearing his No. 3 Notre Dame jersey and talking to friends outside the stadium after the game.

Jones, who failed to show up for Notre Dame's trip to Michigan on Sept. 14 and reportedly enrolled at Northern Illinois, was released from his scholarship Friday. He said returning to campus gave him a chance to leave on better terms.
As for his future, Jones seemed to indicate that his options extend beyond NIU. ''I've got decisions like I'm in high school going through the recruiting process once again,'' he said.

Notre Dame has change of heart, grants Jones his release

By Bobby Narang - Staff Writer
DeKALB - Two days after declaring Demetrius Jones would not be released from his scholarship, Notre Dame reversed field and granted Jones his release. Late Thursday night, Notre Dame athletics director Kevin White issued a statement freeing Jones from his scholarship.

?It's our hope that Demetrius can enroll at an institution at which he might be able to receive a scholarship, possibly be eligible for the 2008 football season and, importantly, continue to make progress toward his degree without interruption,? White said.

On the domer Rivals board, they're already backing off of their NC claim for next year. Glory is now postponed until 2009. Some have even said 2010 when somebody named Crist will be the qb. That's right, some are already giving up on Jesus Clausen in order to retain blind faith in Fat Bastard. Are they seriously still going to be blaming Willingham for next year when only a handful of fifth year seniors will have ever played for Willingham?

Is there something that I'm missing about the fat man? What is this Svengali like hold he has on these people? The entire country now realizes that he's a fraud, yet where are the fireweis.com websites. They were up for Willingham in year two! I don't, however, believe that the ND administration fired Willingham because of race. I believe they fired him prematurely because of the race to hire Urban Meyer. I do believe that the collective institutional response of demonizing Willingham for this year while giving his white successor a free pass is beginning to smell an awful like racism.

Yeah nearly everything I've heard is that Domers are now saying Claussen is done after this year...as soon as Crist gets there he'll never play again, because this new guy is going to be SO much better, you know, Heismans and NCs and all that. They've turned on him faster than Weis turns into a drive-thru.

The alternative to blind faith in CW is to admit that once again, ND has made a coaching error, that the prospects of the next one being a big name are very low and that you are still 4-5 years away from being competative again...starting when the move is made, not from today. Also, it helps avoid the ugly little factoid regarding how many coaches actually turned ND down and where CW really was on their list.

In short, blind faith in CW is just a mental health defense mechanisim, they can't deal with the pain the truth brings with it. So they create a fantasy world in which he is what they wanted him to be, not what he really is.

I actually saw the potential evolution of the Blame Ty defense on NDnation the other day. Basically, 1-2 years from now we will hear, "Ty's recruiting left such little depth that Weis had to go extremely light in practice to avoid injuries. This meant that he wasn't able to develop his players in the way he would've otherwise. Of course, it was genius for Weis to have this foresight."

As for the Clausen-Crist thing, I think it is just the natural thing to look to the next toy on the horizon. It happens on the SC board (excitement over Booty while Leinart was playing, excitement over Sanchez while Booty was playing, excitement over Mustain and Corp before Sanchez even starts playing). I imagine there are some people who are perpetually waiting for the next guy.

True, but most of those guys didn't take a Hummer limo to the college HOF and promise NCs while flashing around a bunch of rings when announcing their commitment, sending the subway alumni into a frenzy of crashing every other school's message boards promising a bunch of stuff Weis' ample posterior has no hope of cashing.

Yeah, the kid did set himself up to be rooted against for his whole career. Now the more he fails the more people remember that announcement and laugh.
