Bob is too cheap to eat his contract. It's all about the "bottom line". Nobody has convinced Bob yet that the increase in attendance with a halfway decent team would more than cover Bell's contract buyout.

They lost 18-4 tonight. Do you think they have a realistic chance to go 3-159 this season?

Except it’s not about the bottom line. They had an opportunity to shed payroll and tank proper but they overpaid for like four AAAA players they’re pretending are future prospects.

This team has gone beyond rock bottom. The entire organization needs to be castrated. Fuck Bob. Fuck Bell and his entire coaching staff. Yet Bob extends the fucker. Sweet Jesus how stupid can one be? 3 and 21? What a blistering start. How can one rebuild when you have a staff that cannot execute Baseball for Dummies?

One thing is true while I'm not the same baseball fan I was when I was younger, with the Deads performance over the past 30 years, they have made it easier to follow less.

This. Let's be clear about the problem in Cincy. There are two kinds of assery that run an MLB team into the ground. Cheap ass and dumb ass.

Oakland and Tampa Bay are cheap asses with great baseball acumen which allows them to field a consistently good, occasionally very good, team with minimal payroll.

Cincinnati ownership suffers from dumbassery. They just don't know what the fuck to do. They do spend money but they spend it at the wrong time on the wrong stuff and then don't have any to spend when it's time to buy that last missing piece of the right stuff.

Cant the league force out owners that wont put a competitive team on the field? I thought that was in the bylaws to keep organizations from just sucking so bad it puts a stain on the league. There's a big fucking red stain right at the bottom of it right now.
