Bourne activated and will start in CF against the Tigers Friday night. Scott Barnes sent back to AAA. 9th inning today was the lovely parting gift for Barnes.

:banger: kind of surprised it took this long for him to come back. Or I didn't know the injury was that bad...

Tom Hamilton is the best in the game
Gee, I wish we could get Hammy to announce Buckeye games - both football and basketball. Love his announcing. (Keels is OK, has a fine resonant voice, but his mispronunciations and name mistakes get on my nerves. Plus his sense of "humor" reminds me of Oh8ch's - not a good thing.)

To be honest, the pitching has had just as big a role lately as the offense.

Masterson has been steady and Kluber and McAllister have been very surprising....Bauer has come in and walked the tight rope....Kazmir is showing great signs....even Jimenez has looked very good his last couple starts.

The bullpen, as always, is lights out and dominate. Not sure there is a better bullpen, I'd put it right up there with Washington's.

I expected McAllister to be pretty good (I mean, obviously he's had some really good starts, but, he usually never gets shelled completely)

But, yeah, the real things that give you optimism are Kazmir (and particularly the velocity yesterday, and late yesterday, he was throwing mid 90's pretty regularly with his fastball... this is a very good thing) and Ubaldo has attacked hitters when he's needed to, for the most part lately. For both its mostly in their head, so it could turn bad in a second, but, the thing they both need to remember is, keep their head straight and remember they don't have to be perfect, more often than not this team is going to get you the runs you need.

Fuck M*ch*g*n...7-6 Tribe. I don't know what's gotten into Ubaldo-O, but hopefully it sticks around.

Now, for the "Debbie Downer" portion of this post...I'm beginning to doubt that Chisenhall is a ML-calibre 3B.

I've still got faith....Chis has vastly improved defensively, I mean he's made huge leaps and bounds over where he was a few years ago. Offensively you see the promise but he's yet to really step into his potential, but I've seen enough flashes from when he was dominating in spring ball to the shortened stroke I've seen at times so far. Boy needs just a bit more confidence in himself is my uneducated guess.

I live in Cincy now, grew up a Tribe fan. I do not want to pay for MLB access to be able to watch the Tribe. Any suggestions on how to watch them from here since we do not get STO? Thanks

BJ

Not an everyday solution, but MLB.com has a free game of the day available to stream. Once and awhile a Tribe game is available there. I know you said you didn't want to pay, but the MLB streaming can be purchased monthly if you don't want to spring for the whole season.

He just needs to wipe that thing off his lip and hell be fine.

Chisenhall still has less than 500 ML at bats. His numbers are really not that bad, compared to many players who have had pretty decent careers.
