Still right behind the Tigers but this road stretch with the Yankees, Tigers, and Rangers should really show us what this team is made of if anything.

I do not know what to say about Hagadone except that they must still trying to justify what they received for Martinez. I just cannot understand how many chances they are willing to give this guy. Maybe he will run out of options one of these days.

justin masterson justifies that trade already. hagadone hasn't done much. neither has bryan price, but he was filthy in akron this year before getting bumped up to AAA. he may end up a respectable reliever.

This is a new one. I wonder if the umpires will be coming into the clubhouse and ejecting players now.
It's not often a player is ejected from a game after it's already over. But that's exactly what happened to Indians shortstop Mike Aviles at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night.

It all started with two outs in the top of the ninth when home plate umpire Tony Randazzo called the first pitch from Mariano Rivera a foul-tip strike. Replays, however, appeared to show Aviles check his swing and the ball go off the catcher's glove.

When Aviles flied out to end the game two pitches later, he exchanged words with Randazzo as the umpires walked off the field and was summarily ejected.
