Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Right now they are 6 for 68 (8.8%) on the power play.

The NHL record worst PP for a full season is 9.35% from the 1997-98 Tampa Bay Lightning. That team only won 17 games in a full season and was last by a good margin. While I don't think the CBJ are actually this bad (they are scoring goals in other scenarios), this seems like more of a mental thing than a lack of skill or scoring talent.

 The Jackets already have 14 wins.

This team definitely has not played up to it's full potential as a whole, yet they still stand 1st in the division (ESPiN has them 3rd in their power rankings) a little over the 1/4th way mark.....put the odds and ends together and you might have something special here.

Yup...

They are 7th on the PK as well.

The team that went and scored on like,12 straight power plays looks better on paper but it hasn't translated to the ice yet....

Although it hasn't shown on the books, the PP has at least looked respectable the last handful of games. Still too many cute passes (both on the PP and ES) but showing some signs of life. If they can get the PP going, it sure as hell will make life easier...

This team is melting down every other night. Another 2 goal lead blown and 5 more goals allowed.
I’ve seen a ton of D-men being placed on waivers. Maybe it’s time to claim one.

If anything, to light a fire under the starters asses. Need some kind of a spark. The injury bug hasn’t been friendly the last couple of weeks, but can’t be dropping games to bad teams.
