Columbus Crew SC (2008, 2020, 2023 MLS Champions)

Three points on the road. Bossed the game, did what they should do against a shit team like United. Parkhurst was immense.

The ref was shit - made poor decisions, had no control over the match, and started throwing yellow cards around like crazy. The penalty was the biggest of those bad calls, but nobody should question the result on that basis.

Didn't realize Eddie Johnson is now in DC. What did he do to deserve that? He finally got his career back on track, and now he plays for a team where he's gonna get none of the support he needs. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't imagine the work he's gonna get this spring will help him be useful in a USA shirt this summer.

EDIT: Also, glad I don't have to hear Duncan Oughton do commentary anymore. They guy the replaced him with was solid. Now if they could just upgrade Dwight Burgess...

I don't know but he played like shit. A lot of that probably had to do with Columbus' gameplan, which was executed to perfection defensively.

Was really impressed with Francis' ability to move forward and make some high quality passes. Wil Trapp also did great dropping back when Francis would push forward.

This team looks like they have an identity. Which I didn't feel that way the last two seasons.

If you read the initial comments about the TV contract from Mark McCullers, I think he was caught in a lie (and had to clarify thereafter).

I don't know if Precourt is happy with McCullers' work or indifferent (in relation to the TV deal). Personally, I'm not that impressed by McCullers' job performance (throughout the years).
