So I went to Vendor Conference in Vegas last week, figured I would update some of you gamers on upcoming stuff.

Got to play Gears 2, Fable 2, Left for Dead, COD 5, SF 4, Fallout 3, Red Faction 3, Guitar hero World Tour and Rock Band 2, among others.

Belive it or not, of everything I saw there, Red Faction 3 is by far the best thing to come. The game is amazing. Look up some game play on it if you wanna see something cool.

Gears is good, but I didnt care for the first one. Fable 2 looks awesome, just hope it's much longer than the first one.

Left for Dead is amazing, but harder than hell. The damn zombies dont screw around anymore, they come after you. If one knows where you are, 50 know where you are, and they all RUN after you. Excellent game running on the source engine though.

They might as well cancel Rock Band 2, because GH 4 is gonna smoke it. There is no comparison between the 2 as far as playability and such. Plus they have Tool on GH, which is a selling point for me :biggrin:

Everyone I know has already bought RB2. And as far as I know, they are planning on buying GH4 too. I like the look of RB better.

Biggest difference in GH besides the obvious extra accessories? I always enjoyed the red faction games,that gets me pumped to play it..Thanks for the insight.

I bought the RB2 game, well actually I got it for free. But the instruments for RB2 dont even compare to GH's. The song recording and editing are actually really awesome as well, as cheesy as I thought it would be. You can mix and record about anything, and the editor looks really handy. Not to mention the fact that Ozzy came out on stage and sang Crazy Train with the Activision House band :biggrin:

Thanks for the rundown. The only thing I hate is there is only 1 original game in that whole group. I really hope Alan Wake comes out in the next year. One thing I like are new games with new stories.

As for the rest of the games on the list I am really looking forward to Fallout 3. I am a huge fan of the series and always wondered when it would be picked back up. I am sure some will not like the gameplay, but I think it's pretty cool sounding. I am glad they are sticking to many of the original themes, and from what I have seen and heard they have replicated DC perfectly (in a post apocalyptic way). That, and I love the retro futuristic themes.

Never played the Red Faction games, but heard good things.

Fallout is incredible, but I just dont talk about it much because most people never got to play the first 2. They were the 2 best RPG's I ever played, This one is basically exactly like you would picture. Cross the original Fallout with Oblivion. Liked what I got to play of it. COD is COD, I like it, but nothing compared to 4.

Are GH4's graphics still shitty looking? And are their songs still vastly over-charted? I like the Rock Band franchise a lot more than the GH one now, but I'm still going to get the GH4 disc because they have Hendrix/Doors/Tool.

Graphics? Why do you need graphics for either of those games? And I actually thought the RB2 songs were pretty shitty, cept for a couple.

Forgot to mention they showed a bunch of pointless Wii shit as well, and I fell asleep.

Ohhhh that. I think it's more of a persona for them or something. I think the characters in Rock Band look like ass too though.

Mind you I really like Rock Band, but the drums are what I do, and the ones with RB make no sense. The GH ones are much more authentic. I also hate the RB guitar in comparison to the GH3 one.
