DB Jamario O'Neal (official thread)

There goes the first-ever adopted brothers back to back MVP award in the Army All-American game :roll2:
Nah. Rivals is saying its nothing serious. Rumored to be from a McCoy hit as JamO has been practicing both ways since Rouse was injured.

Some of these guys have not played in over 2 mos...getting dinged up the first week back is normal. I'd imagine they are overly-cautious down there also.

Well now Rico never has to hear it from Jam-O that he can't catch him. Once they're buckeyes, they may never play against each other again and Rico will always be able to taunt him about dinging him up.

I figured it wasn't serious, but wanted to get that ridiculous brother award distinction off my chest.

FWIW, Insiders is reporting every little injury on the kids...
I seriously wonder if they might get in trouble based on privacy regulations. If for some reason a guy (maybe an uncommitted one) got hurt, and his family didn't want it discussed in the media.

then its a good thing reports are allowed to report things despite what the family wants

Gosh, I love the way Jamario played out there today. I don't know if he's ready to be started or not, but he looks like he's at least ready to play in a nickel package, keeping Ginn on the sideline.

He was not visible at all out there except running over to help fix someone elses broken assignment. That was a very good performance by O'Neal.

Can anyone confirm whether or not that was a forced fumble by O'Neal?

Can someone explain why the 2nd best (ratings wise) recruit in this class gets so little attention?

Probably because he has been committed for so long. Also, he didnt play much his junior year, and probably was outperformed by Lenix and Ray Smalls this year at Glenville. I think he's somewhat of a forgotten man, although everyone will be talking about him next season.

Yep, he's the one who jarred the ball loose from Stewart...

I think they avoided throwing his way. He may have had a pass defended, and I don't recall anyone catching a pass off him (didn't see every defensive play for the East, though). I had my concerns about him after hearing how Manningham supposedly torched him in their game this past season, but right now I have no concerns whatsoever.

By the way, I'm sooooo happy we pulled the plug on AMW...he'll be luck to ever see the field at Tennessee. I know we're not supposed to talk bad about kids here, but he was flat out bad today.
