DB Sirjo Welch (official thread)

Its quite a shame to see a player with that much potential..........and just waste it. Not a total waste, he is getting another chance at a different school........but still, I think you know what I'm trying to say.

Out of the two former Beechcroft players that were on the team, him and Antonio Smith, there was no question who the better athlete/player was............It was Sirjo.

One of the top players in not only the state, but also the country coming out of high school, he was on the path for great things. This could've been his year to start for the Buckeyes. But I think we know, no matter how great of an athlete you are, if you don't have the grades, it doesn't mean anything.

I know it's not directly related to Sirjo, but I couldn't help re-quoting this:

"We want to develop our players. Not all these guys are made. Those guys are going to Ohio State."

..."We're going to develop these kids so that when they go against Ohio State in a couple years, they're able to beat Ohio State."

Hmmmm...developing the talent your players have? (hopefully our coaches try this technique too  )

Brilliant!
