Nope. Its just late in the game and LW has been pursued by a variety of major schools since decommitting. ESPN films as many announcements as possible...that does not mean they will break programming to air them all.

I wouldn't mind seeing him out there at TE at all. He may have tons of upside, but we are not currently that deep at TE right now. We will have Worthington and Ryan Williams, along with Richardson, Barrow and Gholston at DE in the future... maybe Ashley as well. Plus, Robert Rose in next year's class hopefully. He definitely has the size to play TE and with him playing basketball, I would assume he has pretty good hands as well.

I don't know if he'll play DE or TE in college, but he sure looks like he'd make a great receiving TE. A basketball player with great hands and that kind of size is a natural for a TE. Think Antonio Gates from the San Diego Chargers. He didn't even play college football and now, as a rookie, he's arguably the best TE in the NFL.

We didn't use the TE much in the passing game this season because Hamby and Nicol are not "stretch the field" type TE's. They are more suited for blocking and possession receiving. Irizarry was supposed to provide the receiving threat from that position. There were big plans for him in the passing game. Obviously that didn't pan out. I think the staff is looking for someone to fill that role. Wilson has the look of a kid that could do it.

Of course, this is just speculation on my part. I don't know what the heck I'm talking about.

On the other hand, we also need someone who can rush the passer. So he could fill one of two roles on our team. We definately could use a player like him.

If you look at who Antonio Gates' Alma Mater is you would come to the realization that he was probably better off not playing football in college. But at least he's representing the mothership nnicely.

Wilson To Wait Until End

No decision will be made today by Ohio DE Lawrence Wilson.

"There's no decision yet," Wilson's mother told Irish Today. "Notre Dame and Ohio State are the big two and Florida has a chance. It probably won’t be until Wednesday [when he makes his announcement]. I think ESPN is going to cover it live."
