DE Nick Bosa (Pro Bowl, All Pro, 2019 ROY, 2022 DPOY, San Francisco 49ers)

I still have a hard time seeing him not playing in the playoff if OSU makes it without him. This is assuming no setback. But from all discussions of what this injury/recovery typically is, the playoff would be WELL past the window of recovery. UM/B1G championship game is at the point where maybe it's not worth jeopardizing.

This team just isn't good enough to lose a player like Bosa for the whole season and maintain NC expectations. Young isn't there yet and Cooper is a solid player. Beyond that are players with good potential, but were getting pushed 7 yards downfield by the 111th ranked offense in the country.

So...hopefully if he's healthy he decides to come back.

I’m more bullish on him returning.
Especially if we can get by this week.
No inside info.

The Bosa’s seem financially sound.
So did the McCaffery’s but Christian was an undersized TB who was dinged up on a team headed for a meaningless bowl.

My sense is Joey would tell him YOLO.
To my knowledge there hasn’t been a high draft pick whose team was in the playoffs or vying for a spot who has tapped out.

I don’t think Clowney or Fornette are in that Venn diagram.

In conclusion I think he will play if we can stay in contention for a spot in the dance.

Is this official somewhere or guessing?
Tim May and some other guy reporting it...

Too bad because Nick is such a great player. I don't blame him though and I believe that also all but ends our championship hopes (maybe even big ten title hopes). We needed that boost to put us over the top and this defense just isn't good enough without him.

I always had a feeling (not kidding) that a major injury would hit our thin defensive end rotation this fall... welp.

Good luck Nick! Get healthy
