DE Zach Harrison (All B1G, Atlanta Falcons)

It's always funny how fans think that recruits are supposed to look at their recruitment as if they're fans, and not making the biggest decisions of their lives. You're acting like because he grew up in Columbus, that automatically he shouldn't look at any other school for his major, life after football, facilities, etc. And what if, just think about, he honestly doesnt like our coaching staff! I know it sounds crazy because as a fan we think Hairball is a moron, but what if Harrison likes that moron!?! Fans don't think about that, it's only about our selfish reasons for a kid to attend the school that we cheer for. His recruitment isn't like Carmans, it's like Zach Harrisons! Let's get some perspective here, the kid might just like what scUM has to offer better, and for all we know, it could all be BS and he still attends OSU. Good for him for keeping to himself. Fans claim to hate kids that play the hat game, and social media game, and the minute a kid doesn't he gets chastised for that too! Let the kid be, and wish him well if he attends OSU, and if he chooses scUM than screw it, well see him once a year and make him regret that decision
That’s all well and good but I want to vomit when I see their uniforms and I personally couldn’t get past that. Just saying.

Meh. It will suck if he heads north but if that’s the case then it just wasn’t meant to be.

It’s just the way recruiting is. I was just reminded Saturday about Dobbins comitting before even seeing C-Bus. The kid knew tOSU was elite and said something like “when Urban calls then you listen” so given that, if Zach is into whatever Jimmy has to sell (I have no clue what that is) then hey, to each his own.

I get the impression that Zach is handling things from an academics and college experience first mentality. All three of the schools that he in considering are good enough to get him to the league - if he is fortunate enough to have that opportunity when he is finished with college, so I have no problem with how he's handled his recruitment. If he feels the most comfortable here at tOSU, that would be great. If he feels like ttun or PSU would give him the best college experience, then best wishes to the young man.

I absolutely agree that any recruit can chose any school that meets whatever needs he determines are most important.

What I will push back on is that decision has no effect his stock in the NFL draft. LJ has turned lots of players into high round draft picks including 2 DE's that will be among the top 2 picks in a 3 year period. Michigan took the can't miss, consensus #1 DL recruit and added no additional value. That recruit will now be a late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

I hope Meyer reels him in.
It really pains my azz to see an Ohio kid go up north, especially one of this talent. That's why I love it so when they go 4 years and can't get a win fugg 'em

Who cares if he goes to TTUN. I find it funny that player after player goes there over OSU and then ends up transferring or getting hit with 4 or 5 L's. Kalis started it, then Derrick Green, that RB from NJ whose name I forgot, and a bunch of kids I have forgotten. Sure TTUN works out for some players if you are going to be a top draft pick no matter what but don't plan on winning anything there. Frankly, I've had enough of kids who don't care about being at OSU and winning and are only looking to go to the NFL

It started well before Kalis, going back to the Carr days

If not for tOSU there is a good chance Samwise is a Domer playing lacrosse instead of cashing paychecks as a second rounder with wall street experience on his resume. Think that would have happened at TSUN or PSU? The answer is simply no.

A kid I know who ended up playing long pole at Air Force is / was friends with Sam from LAX tourneys / showcases / etc. He mentioned that he talked to Sam after things started brewing with tOSU. Sam was pretty much more in line of what JK said than anything. While we all were disappointed to see a LAX talent like him put down his stick, we all knew that when Urban calls, he should be listening. As a matter of fact, that's pretty much what the Air Force kid said to him...

I do hope that Harrison decides to come to tOSU, but only if that's the best option for him.
