I can't figure out the Wings this year.

They actually beat 3 good teams in a row this week and laid a COMPLETE egg against one of the worst defensive teams in the league last night.

'When Detroit dominates the puck, they win.

When they don't, scores like 5-1 Toronto occur.

Hell even Lidstrom had a bad game last night. I think the whole Hall of Fame thing with Yzerman, Hull and Robitaille wore them out or something.

Fuck this joke of a goddamn "league"

that was such a bush league no goal call it's fucking pathetic. That ref should be FIRED.

You know what, after this season and after I use up my CBJ tickets, I'm done. I'm not watching this league, I'm sure as hell not buying anything tickets or otherwise from them and I won't watch their damned broadcasts.

This is the worst run league in the ENTIRE sporting world.

That's such horseshit and you know it.

There was no penalty on the play. 1 second - ok. 2 seconds, maybe. But that was nearly 4 full seconds later. Not only that but there was IRREFUTABLE PROOF the goal was in the net WELL before any intent to blow the whistle bullshit.

This is what the replay system is supposed to fix. It utterly failed tonight.

It's not as if the NHL is going to survive the next lockout anyway, but now I just don't care. the officiating has sucked on a consistent basis for over 3 years now and yet those idiots in Toronto do NOTHING to fix it.

im not defending it. im just saying its not the first time or the last time youll see that call this year. i actually had a long post on the whole thing and decided to hit the (back) button as not to inflame anyone, on more than one side of the issue. all sum it up in a few sentences. for all the pissing and moaning of the quick whistle the slow whistle is just as frustrating. for all the great ideas that the whistle be the whistle it only takes one drunkard to mess the whole thing up. its an outdated rule, and one to keep the subjectivity in the game, which over the past three decades have kept the original six high on the hog. i didnt want the game yet i saw the numbers involved. 14-larue and 15-auger.

that crashing sound you're hearing is the Wings getting shut out AGAIN, AT HOME, on back to back nights.

Oh yeah, Dan Cleary is now out a month with a shoulder separation. I'm shocked Grand Rapids even has a team at this point.
