Mea culpa. Forgot to click disapprove. :dum-bass:

ehhh...it happens. Somehow you kinda expect the system to just know that you mean for it to go to "disapprove". Been there, done that.

PS--ol' Jerry's rep looks much better now. :)
(Like it actually matters, but somehow it makes me feel better.)

It appears that the PA governor has some explaining to do.

Story doesn't add up

The Dec. 10 edition of The Patriot-News shows Tom Corbett's gubernatorial campaign was partially funded by a $25,000 contribution from Jerry Sandusky's Second Mile charity.
Sandusky was allegedly using The Second Mile for the purpose of meeting boys to molest. Sandusky informed The Second Mile that he was under investigation in 2008. The grand jury convened in 2009.
In 2010, then-Attorney General Tom Corbett accepted a $25,000 political contribution from The Second Mile. Now Gov. Corbett is saying that he didn't return the money because it would've tipped off The Second Mile that its founder was being investigated for alleged child sex abuse.
The timeline shows that Corbett had a grand jury seated for about a year, before he began his run for governor. Within that year, Corbett must have received testimony from Sandusky's alleged victims that they came from The Second Mile program. Yet despite this, Corbett still gladly took The Second Mile?s $25,000 contribution.
Now, Corbett?s trying to make Pennsylvanians believe that giving back the $25,000 would?ve alerted them to something about which they were already aware. Penn State coach Joe Paterno was fired for not doing more than just passing someone else's account of Sandusky's alleged impropriety to his superiors.
Corbett, by his clear conflict of interest, has done far worse. Corbett should resign now.

Since it's a letter to the editor and not the actual article, I'm not quite sure that I trust it or the timelines without corroboration. It's also clearly written by a JoePed apologist.

At worst, we have a politician willing to accept campaign contributions from an organization whose founder was under a grand jury investigation. As for a conflict of interest, perhaps. The clearer conflict would come had Corbett done anything to squash the investigation or protect those who covered up the crimes. In fact, his actions were the exact opposite, which is why he's become public enemy #1 to the JoePed apologists.

This is not worse than JoePed covering up and burying the actual crimes in order protect his legacy and his football program.
