Northeast Ohio has lost alot of it's luster over the past 5 to 10 years. It get's weaker and weaker.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the Columbus area is getting stronger.

As a member of the City League (Whetstone HS), don't really remember C'bus being that strong (Griffin boys excepted). The catholic schools (Watterson, Bishop Ready) had their moments, but nothing lately. Pickerington has surfaced as probably the most fruitful, but some of the outlier towns (Newark, Hocking Hills schools - Lancaster etc) have also dried up. Cincy has always been strong, but seems that more kids have gone up 71 to C'bus, rather than to ND etc. Agree that NE Ahia was always strong (Massalon, Hoban, etc) doesn't have the depth they once did, but some bright spots. Now really certain why this is....but maybe my memory has dulled over the years. Or maybe I don't remember the kids that matriculated to Xichigan etc. Anyone got a thought?

Tressel hardly ever recruited Cincinnati, so the HS stopped giving much love to OSU while he was there. When Urban was hired, he extended an olive branch, and attacked Cincinnati schools aggressively and left no stone unturned. It's not like he loaded up on kids from the city, but I doubt Tress gets guys like Adolphus Washington, Sam Hubbard or Justin Hilliard. The GCL guys would've been ND bound pre-Urban era. Glad that Day has continued plucking the best guys from Cincy, this city has been pro-OSU forever, though it still has a large ND contingency and a fair-weather UC fan base(they're not so loud and confident in these parts lately)

Rivals currently has Jason as the #1 DT in the class. Its more based on preference and fit in the defense. He's not a massive space eater like the other top DTs, but he's a guy who can rush the passer and RB and get in the backfield. As opposed to clogging up lanes and letting LBs do all the work. I can easily see him putting on 10-15lbs before hitting campus. And then getting up into the 290s when he actually gets some actual PT(he's listed at 270lbs on Rivals)

Williams is playing for the New York Giants at 302 pounds but at Daytona Beach Mainland the former high four-star defensive end was at 254 and that’s where the first comparison to Moore, who’s at 270 pounds, makes sense.

What makes Moore, from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha, so special is that he can comfortably play on the edge, he has speed to beat offensive linemen outside, power to go inside or he can move along the defensive line and cause havoc wherever he goes. At 6-foot-5 (the same height as Williams) Moore could easily pack on 20-30 more pounds and not have any bad weight on his frame.
