DL Michael Bennett (National Champion)

Rumors are he has already pushed into the two deep...Kid is gonna be a monster!

That's not a rumor, that's a fact. He was playing DE on the 2nd defense all practice this morning.

Joel Hale is also already in the two deep and Melvin Fellows appears to finally be establishing himself in the two deep as well.

I could be wrong but this is a kid that I've felt could see time his freshman year. Nice to see him rocketing up the depth chart.

JMHO and this comes as a HUGE Bennett fan...I figured he would redshirt. He needs at add some strength and he primarily played offense in high school. Once he bulks up some and learns the position better, he will be a phenom. It would be great to see him in there for sure, but I think Hale may be more game ready. Plus all of Hank, Goebel, Simon and Bellamy will be tough to pass up.

LeCharles Bentley heaping the praise on Bennet via his twitter account today as he is spending the day with the Buckeyes, including watching film. (LeCharlesBent65)

Michael Bennett has the potential to be one of the best int D Lineman to play at osu. What he brings to the table... not ever seen at osu

I'll say this, kids like Mike Bennett choose the SEC-BIG12 will raise hell n BIG10 RT @katzfan71: Is he in the category of say a Glen Dorsey?

The reports from practice appear to be ringing true for this young man. From what I saw, Michael made the most out of his opportunity on the field today by providing pressure, including running the Akron QB down by his shoe-strings. This player without a doubt has a bright future in front of him and I am glad he is a Buckeye.

Mark it down if the young man stays healthy he will be one of the all time great Defensive Lineman in Buckeye Lore! I don't claim to be a defensive line expert but when this kid comes off the ball the impact/pop be delivers to the poor Olineman is unreal. Very special. Looking forward to seeing more #63 this next week.
