Dominique Brown (Louisville signee)

Rivals $

1/27

From Brian Snow... Brown enjoyed his recent visits to tOSU and Cincinnati. Says tOSU has been nondescript about his position. He will visit Louisville this weekend and has eliminated Georgia Tech. He will sign on signing day.

Looking better and better...

The elimination of Georgia Tech would seem to be an indicator that playing QB is not imperative for Brown, which as 22 said is making things look real good for OSU at this point.

or it could mean that his grades aren't there for Ga Tech, or that it's too far, and/or that it's not comfortable.

GT was the ONE place he could for sure play QB...

which is why I think that him eliminating them has to do with things other than him wanting to play QB or not in college. He claims them as his leader and then a week later he eliminates them. Sounds like something else is in play with that decision like grades or something.

Like I said on the last page, you can't go by what Dom says in his updates... He isn't always giving serious information when he talks about his thoughts or his leaders...

But you're right, chances are the QB thing wasn't that important to him all along... I think his academics are in line or else he wouldn't have been allowed to take his OV to tOSU this week...

He wants to sign on signing day, so he had to decide who he would rather visit this weekend... He decided on Louisville (for reasons I don't know)...

Strong and company are doing their best their first recruiting season. Strong is a great coach and maybe selling him on the new start and direction they are taking with his arrival at the helm.

I for one would love to get Dom, I know the scholly situation is tight, and we need OL, but I think he has loads of talent.

Bingo. Grades were a concern from the get-go. Still a great kid and fantastic football player. Mostly Georgia Tech is just bummed as this is our 2nd QB prospect this year who didn't academically qualify.

I wouldn't put that out there that that's the reason... Not sure it's true.

Let me clarify my last post... Not saying you're wrong, just that I'm not sure it you're right... It is definitely possible I just don't know it to be true. Likely tougher to get into GT than tOSU for a football player...

Any info on what is going on with D. Brown? Will his decision be based on what position he will play?

The answer to the first part is yes - he wants to play QB. No new info, he visits Louisville this Friday and will make a decision after that.

Has OSU offered Brown the chance to compete at QB, or just as a reciever/ATH?

To my knowledge, he is being brought in as an athlete.
