In that very same article you posted an exert from he used these two descripitive words for Tressel and the statdium/facilities respecively:

"Amazing and unbelieveable."

Both of which are > "great."

:wink2:

(Yes, I'm not serious. Just having a little fun with "the ND guy.")

Not only did he say that "everything" was great about Notre Dame, but...

... in reference to ND's tradition, he stated that a "love" for it.

Love conquers all.

Glad we can poke some fun.

Garrett Goebel of Montini Catholic High School (Lombard, Ill.) is one of the top prospects in the Midwest this year and he has scholarship offers from coast to coast. Notre Dame is one of the schools Goebel is considering and he made his second unofficial visit to South Bend this week.

Does that seem right to you guys? I've known a visit on the 30th has been in the pipeline for a couple of weeks now, but 2 in the same week? I'm guessing its poor phrasing or something, 'cause that doesn't seem right...

I think it's poor phrasing... I think it was his second overall...

Garrett Goebel's next visit

Garrett postponed plans to visit Columbus this weekend in favor of coming the following weekend (6/9? & 6/10 Sunday) to attend OSU's 1-day camp on Sunday June 10th. Garrett is REALLY looking forward to working out under the guidance of D-Line (Def. Coordinator) Coach Jim Heacock. Garrett hopes to narrow down his choices to a "TOP 3/4" list very soon as he plans to make a verbal commitment in August (possibly sooner). Remember....PATIENCE is a VIRTUE!!

I, too, appeciate the information from close to the source. But if there is one thing you should have figured out from visiting OSU fan boards, XPUNISHR, is that patience, while a virtue, is in awful short supply around here.

Wish he was attending the camp on the 22nd when our commits are going to be there.
Perhaps*, but that will also give the staff more time for personal attention, with a thinner list of marquee recruits. I think this previous exchange could be relevant here:

Great update on Garrett. Some overzealous cliffjumpers get worked up over OSU's patience with recruits (in contrast to Mack Brown's 'commit now or the offer is gone' approach) and preference for smaller visits (in contrast to gigantic senior days), but it really pays dividends in situations like these.
EXACTLY!!!.....This "personalized visit" left a favorable impression, even excitement in a kid who has not been overly excitable after past visits to other Big 10 programs. However, by nature Garrett is very quiet, humble..much like Dexter Larimore whom Garrett spent Friday pm visiting. I think the quality / character of coaches / players that Garrett met with made him feel as though this may be the perfect fit for him.
* - I wouldn't put it past Stoney & Adams to stop by and do a little informal recruiting as well, if they feel it would help with Garrett.
