DT Tommy Togiai (Barrel Strong, Cleveland Browns)

This one definitely hurts and flies in the face of what I was hearing (word was he was coming back). But I can understand the situation, getting paid now and helping his family has to at the forefront of his decision. And at least Garrett is coming back, although Tommy looked like one of the best DTs we've ever had here despite the limited amount of games. Thanks for all the memories and great season Tommy, will definitely be rooting for you in the NFL.

I saw someone mention that the DT draft isn’t particularly deep this year, making it possible that Togiai will go earlier than he would otherwise, contributing to his decision to enter the draft early.

It feels like the opposite of the Olave situation in that way; a very deep WR class that will potentially bump him to the second round versus a probable first round grade after next season.

I saw a mock draft with Tommy and Wade going to the Browns in the 3rd. I would be very stoked if that actually happened.

“It was probably the hardest decision I’ve made so far in my life,” Togiai told Eleven Warriors on Friday. “Just going back and forth on whether I wanted to come back or go, I went back and forth a lot. Especially the week leading up to when I had to make my final decision. Just talking with my family and Coach J and Coach Day, after just the hard discussions, my family really just thought it was best if I declared.”

“Consistent with medical and public health advice, the 2021 Combine will be conducted in a different format,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a league memo. “There will be no in-person workouts at the Combine. Instead, any workouts will take place on the individual pro days on college campuses. We will work with the schools to encourage consistency in testing and drills across pro days and ensure that all clubs have access to video from those workouts, irrespective of whether the club is represented at a particular workout.”
