Not happy about that at all. And what does losing your scholarship for the Summer mean? Was he even in Summer classes that he has to now pay out of pocket? If not, that's about the most toothless punishment that I've ever seen. Can't say that I'm seeing anything different than in how things were done at Florida.

If all they got him for now is being at the wrong place at the wrong time, what else can you expect? From what I understand, there was no proof of the bottle. He just failed to disperse.

Losing a summer scholarship was the punishment that Stoneburner/Mewhort got for their shenanigans a couple years ago, meaning they had to train separately from the team and pay their own way for summer classes, but that incident was earlier in the year, whereas now we're only a couple weeks from fall semester. Sprinkle does also have the game suspension, which isn't nothing. He passed the drug test and only pled no contest to "attempted failure to comply with a police order", whatever that is.

Ultimately it's just a guy who got into a little scuffle at some seedy joint, got into trouble, and has a little punishment to work through. And thank goodness for that.

Most of these players take summer classes usually to supplement a light load in the fall and still stay on schedule to graduate.
