DT Tyleik Williams (All B1G, All-American)

With probably half the number of snaps of anyone else in the top 10. And he's a DT and a freshmen.

It's closer to 1/3. Here it is for the last game:

DEFENSIVE TACKLES
Ty Hamilton: 32
Tyleik Williams: 22
Haskell Garrett: 21
Jaden McKenzie: 18
Antwuan Jackson: 17
Taron Vincent: 17
Jerron Cage: 16

Tyleik Williams has had 76 snaps over the 5 games. Four DTs and a total of 18 other defensive players (i.e. not a DT) have had more.

And they need to stop having him absorb blocks and just let him go apeshit in the middle. LBs dont have to make all the tackles if he's in the backfield. I'd set him loose and have Haskell doing the dirty work that he excels at. Just cave the Oline in and wreak havoc

He's the biggest we have at DT too though... his job is certainly to plug the middle #1 and then wreck the backfield 2.

It will probably be Williams and Vincent starting next year in the middle. He needs to see at least 30 snaps per game this year. His size and quickness poses major problems up the middle and we are better when he is on the field.
And permits Garrett to move back to his natural position.
