If you want your recruits to have successful NFL careers, it might be a good idea to do everything in your power to have the Raiders not select them.

I'd guess you are joking, but closing doors on financial opportunities for student-athletes is never a good idea IMO.

It's not as if the Raiders don't take a guy then he won't get drafted soon after...

If you are talking about a first rounder, then you are right, but the difference can be millions of dollars. If you are talking about later rounds, there are no guarantees a team will draft you later in the draft. You need every chance you can get to impress every team's scouts.

It may be minimal, but if Jim Tressel came out and said the Browns are the most dysfunctional organization in sports and how a coach or player would suffer in that organization, it would not be looked upon kindly by anyone.

Yea, because he'd be a liar too.

It's obvious that the Detroit Lions are the most dysfunctional organization in sports and every player does suffer in that organization.

How is this related to Marlon Brown? Uh....

"With the first selection in the 2012 Draft, the Detroit Lions select.....Marlon Brown. Wide Receiver. Ohio State" It'll be Detroit, or where ever Matt Millen is cashing paychecks. That man loves wide receivers.

The Browns are bad, but the Bungles, Lions and Raiders are worse. :(

yes indeed the raiders are bad, i have been a raiders fan for a long time and this is the worst that i have ever seen, there is just al davis making decisions that he likes not what is good for the team., but just my opinion.
