The purpose of the BCS NC is SUPPOSED to be to crown the best team champion. LSU has earned the right to be number 1.

I dont care if Alabama IS (im not saying they are) the second best team in the country, they already took a shot at #1 and came up short.

I am not looking to see who is the second best, I am looking at who is the best and in my IMO a team that hasnt already lost to current #1 should get a shot to prove themselves on the field.

GB will get the boot in the thread celebrating Urban's 3rd NC at OSU. At some point therein we will say that cements Urban's legacy as an OSU coach and history won't bother to care much that he coached at Florida once upon a time....

I'll ask this question again. If LSU were undefeated, Alabama were the sole 1-loss team in the country - their one loss coming to LSU, and everyone else in the country had two or more losses, would you stick to your "no rematches" rule? OK State, or whoever else, would go to the national championship game because their two losses came against teams-not-named-LSU?

The rematch argument goes out the door if there's only one 1-loss team.
