ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Bitches, get over it. You've been talking about the eyeball test for years. Well, Ohio State is it this year. They've beaten #10, #12, and #19. Win the next two weeks and they will have beaten 5 teams in the top 20.

No, bitches, LSU have not beaten five top ten teams in that scenario. Currently, it's #5, #11, and #15. Win the next two weeks and LSU will have beaten five teams in the top 20.

Piss off!

And just because I'm bored.....these 5 ZOMG powerhouses and likely records

Texas 7-5 - Definitely gonna be back at some point in the next forever. Maybe.
Florida 10-2 - Remember when it was OK that they had a shit offense because they had a good defense? The defense kinda sucks now too. 10 wins = scratching past Miami, TN Martin, lucking out against Kentucky, Tennessee, Towson (jesus christ....we're 5 games in and they should be 3-2 against a Clemson schedule), Auburn somehow, USCe, Vandy and Missouri. Holy shit.....talk about a fucking paper tiger.
Auburn 8-4 - Beat one good-ish team, week 1. That's literally it. I've never looked at these schedules till now. I can't believe people are getting away with claiming these wins as elite. Can we play LSU right now? Fuck.......can we play the entirety of the SEC real quick? We can squeeze Vandy, Arkansas, and the Mississippi schools all into a couple days to make it quicker. No doubt in my mind we'd go undefeated with Tua out.
Bama 11-1 - Hey! A great win! Better than anything Ohio State can show.
Georgia 11-1 - Probably a really good win, if they can do it (cuz.....ya know.....THEY HAVEN'T FUCKING DONE IT YET). Their offense is kinda poopish, though. Thanks for Fields, ya fucks.

I'm struggling with how that's worlds better than what we will have with Wisconsin, Penn St, Michigan, Wisconsin/Minny, Cinci, and fuck it....if you get to count fucking Texas we can count Indiana with their starting QB.

oUtRaGeOuS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed watching and listening as Rece Davis was revealing the top-6 in the CFP rankings last night. After counting from 25 down to 7, they were starting to show the rest from 1 to 6. Rece is saying something like "and at number one, I can't imagine it won't be LSU again this week," ... and then the tOSU logo shows up in the #1 slot over his shoulder.

He had to recover and backpedal in order to not look completely biased.

I hate to stick up for anyone at ESPN, but here are some facts to consider.

Rece Davis is an AP voter. He has been more than fair to Ohio State this year. Below are his weekly AP votes for Ohio State compared with Ohio State's overall poll ranking. Davis has not ranked Ohio State lower than its overall AP ranking. In 10 of the 14 weeks, Davis had Ohio State higher than its overall AP ranking, and in the remaining 4 week he had Ohio State equal to its overall AP ranking:

His voter persona can be different from his on-air persona. As the host of their rankings show, he was stressing the quality of LSUs wins, and never mentioning that tOSU was ranked #1 in their own ridiculously flawed FPI, and mentioned more than once that LSU's 'strength of schedule' was 10 points higher than tOSU's (18th vs 28th, IIRC). And he wasn't stressing that tOSU's average margin of victory is almost 14 points higher per game.

The strength of schedule thing bothers me. BTN showed the Buckeyes' schedule as much better than 28th, and I'd like to know where all those numbers come from. I think the playoff committee should be instructed to only look at strength of schedule metrics which don't count FBS wins over FCS teams. And the whole 8 vs 9 conference games differential gives the non-SEC/ACC teams 7 more certain losses, while the SEC/ACC teams are probably only going to lose a couple of their 4th non-conference opponents for their 14 members. A fact that I was aware of when Delany pushed for the 9th conference game a few years ago.
