What is taking the NCAA so long? Right above is proof he used Micheal Micheals credit card.

He's in my top four, but any discussion of the history of Ohio State football begins with Chic Harley and Dr. Wilce.
Much as some would like to ignore, 'football in Ohio" is different than 'history of Ohio State football'.

My 4-Paul Brown, Woody Hayes,Jack Nicklaus, and Pete Rose. Pete Rose IS the Cincinnati Reds, and, as much of a doucher as he was at times, he is the greatest player on the oldest team in baseball history-and a hometown boy to boot. Oh, yeah, and that little 4,256 hits record.

OHIO
Jesse Owens
Woody Hayes
Jack Nicklaus
Paul Brown*

Slight edge to Paul Brown over Jim Brown. I also agree that for LeBron to be included at this point is ludicrous.

ILLINOIS
Red Grange
Jordan
Ernie Banks
George Halas

Now for the more interesting question: who would you put on Ohio's Mt. Douchemore?

Maurice Clarett
Pete Rose
Albert Belle
Kevin Mackey

Illinois' Mt. Douchemore would be:

Steve Bartman
Shawon Dunston
Scottie Pippin
Bill Wirtz

I might substitute Leon Durham for Dunston in Illinois, and Shawn Kemp for Belle in Ohio.

Mt. Douchemore could probably be a thread of its own.

I have never lived in IL - but you gotta figure that Dennis Rodman and those shirtless idiot whitesox fans who rushed the umpire in Comiskey would be in contention.

4 for Rushmore

I wish we could expand the list but if its only 4:

Woody Hayes
Paul Brown
Jack Nicklaus
Archie

I might add Pete Rose one of my all time faves as an athlete but he did what he did. Let himi n the HOF but not in baseball to work.

Consider Jerry Lucas and Jim Parker as well.

Frank Kremblas too.

If James does win multiple championships in the future, but say they are for New York and not Cleveland, does he still make Ohio's list?

Change the name of where, but I raise the same question tonight that I did over a year ago. Those who were advocating his place on Ohio's Mount Rushmore of Sports, you still think he belongs there?
