If you don't have this game, jump on that $39.99 asap. You won't be disappointed.
Fallout 3 Standard Edition for Playstation 3 $20

Amazon.com Video Games Deal of the Day

For those contemplating standard ed $20 vs GOTY ed $40
A suggestion for people unsure to get the standard or the GOTY...
With games like this I myself play through the main game and then maybe play through extra content later. Especially with RPGs and long games like Fallout 3, it will take a while until I utilize the extra content.
You could buy standard version now for 20, play through it, then sell it back for a few bucks at some point or trade it somewhere, then get the GOTY in the future when it has its own deal for $20...
I got Fallout 3 GOTY PM'd at bestbuy because there was 5 DLC and each was $10
I believe the GOY edition includes the five DLC packs -- The Pitt, Operation: Anchorage, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.

Was going to play through this game again on PC with mods. Went to Wal-Mart to buy it. Bought it, thought I got a steal with a generic code for $20. I know it was supposed to be $50, but the title of the code was generic, so I just let it slide.

Get home and realize that the DLC box was in the wrong spot and I bought it instead of the GOTY edition. I saw "Fallout 3" on the box and looked at the sticker below it, rather than checking the box itself. That's what I get.

3074326, it's walmart can't you take it back and exchange it for the GOTY edition?

I did that. Not without issues though. Dumb fucks assumed that I took it and copied it, then wanted to return it for something else. I then explained that what I was getting had all the stuff on it that the thing I was returning had. Explained that if I wanted to buy something to copy and return it, I would've bought the GOTY edition in the first place because it's loaded with everything. It's not just an add-on.

Apparently that was very hard to understand. I was there for 25 minutes. Eventually when they decided to just called the manager of electronics (why they didn't just do this in the first place I don't know) he literally said "Yeah, it's fine. That happens." And that was the end of that. Wouldn't have really made me that mad if they hadn't been talking down to me the whole time.

Even if that didn't work, I just would've taken the damn game to my work and wrapped it in the plastic we use to wrap DVDs in. They wouldn't have known.

/end rant

Got some nice mods going on it now. Hoping this play-through is a much different experience than the one on 360.

Yeah, I'm still downloading new mods for the PC version, people keep putting out nice ones. I pretty much go through the Top 100 mods, adult and non-adult, once a month to see if theres any good ones that have been added or missed. It's also worth going through and looking at the top mods for each month, they usually list the 5 most endorsed ones that are released.

I missed a mod that was done early on, and it was pretty ingenious. Someone put a threatre just down the street from the Capital Building, complete with working movies that you can select from. Some Betty Boop cartoons were included, along with a few live action shows and old commercials (The one on how to save your livestock from nuclear fallout was pretty funny). Basically a lot of stuff from the 50s. If you're good, you can add your own.

One of my favorite mods I ever did was this music mod. It adds a ton of songs to GNR's station, so you aren't listening to the same damn song ever 2 minutes.

This one looks interesting too. It let's you organize your stuff in rooms better. Like mounting guns on a wall for a display.

For example.

I really want to start playing this game again but I have a feeling it will eat up more time than I want it to.

I downloaded Feng Shui but haven't played enough to use it yet. Got an overhaul mod too, but again, haven't played enough to know if it's sweet yet. Planning on playing a good but tonight though.

I used a different music mod. It added more ambient/industrialish music. Kind of like Half-Life. I dig.

Thanks for the links above.
