Fantasy Football Advice

Up 17 tonight heading into the game.

I have Forte tonight and he has Alshon Jeffrey and Jimmy Graham. So far I am up 2-1 tonight making the lead 18.

Close one?

Alright boys, championship time. Need some input.

QB. I have Wilson but as expected the Hawks have turned to Lynch late season so Russell is basically expected to just not fuck things up. I have a couple available options I'm considering.

Tannehill. Fins coming back home, fighting for their playoff lives. Minnesota making the long trek to southern florida. Only concern is the Vikings defense. That front has been playing better and better, ditto for Rhodes and Harrison.

Next option is Alex Smith @ Pittsburgh. Not sure how comfortable I feel with Smith on the road but the Chiefs have opened things up a bit lately. Plus Pittsburgh's defense is in no way a scary matchup. I just haven't read into how well they've done on the road this season.

Defense - I picked up Carolina @ home against Johnny boy. This is pretty much a mortal lock to get me points. The Panthers front 4 is still good without Hardy and Keuchly should have a monster game.

Thoughts?

your QB situation seems kinda dumpster fireish for a championship game... any FA options?

I still like Wilson out of that group. Tannehill has upside but Wilson just seems to have the highest floor. Last time vs Arizona, he threw for over 200 TD's and a TD. Then he added 10 rushes for 73 yards. Take out his long rush of 40 yards and it's still 9 for 33 which is still better than what Lynch accomplished on 15 carries (15 for 39.) Arizona's front is pretty strong and tough to run on, which I feel is going to bring out more read option from the Seahawks and some decent rushes from Wilson. I'm a fan of low risk and high floors and that is Russell Wilson. Of course, he isn't going to throw for 300 and 3 TD's which Tannehill may or may not do but he is going to get you a steady contribution. I guess it depends on what the rest of your team looks like. Arizona's secondary is bad though, so Wilson can take advantage, he just doesn't have a Julio Jones. Seattle's success this week will come from Russell Wilson.

Edit:I didn't mention Alex Smith but that's because it's Alex Smith. That team is all Jamaal Charles and I would never feel comfortable relying on Alex Smith. He has a game here and there but that is totally unpredictable.

Full team as of right now.

QB - Wilson
WR1 Jeffery
WR2 Edelman
RB1 Lacy
RB2 Hill
TE Kelce
Flex 1 Antonio Brown
Flex 2 Kelvin Benjamjn

Defense - Carolina
Kicker - I might get Conner Barth because my opponent has manning this week. Need all the points I can get.

That's a solid team everywhere else with playmakers. I wouldn't get cute. Roll with Wilson and let the rest of your team get the job done. Jeffery is the top receiving option and had a nice game last time they played Detroit. Edelman is facing the jets...enough said. Antonio Brown is Antonio Brown. Benjamin gets a nice number of targets every game and is vs the Browns...enough said. Lacy vs TB is a nice matchup. Hill is the main man now. Kelce is hit or miss but TE is pretty thin this year if you don't have Gronk. Everyone else is up and down, including Donnell and Bennett and even Graham.

Who are you up against? You know...other than Manning? PPR?

Thanks. The idea this year wasn't to go boom or bust, but to have a team without holes at any position. It was a fair bit better in the early going when I had Bradshaw and Cameron scoring points.

I'm up against a guy that likes to pick a team that's offensive heavy and get several players from them. So when he does win, he wins big. When he loses, its a flame out.
His team -

QB -Peyton
WR - Demarius
WR - Wallace
RB- LeVeon
RB - Joique Bell
TE - WAlker
Flex 1 - Golden Tate
Flex 2 Arian Foster

His team is RB dominant which is really what carries him. Early on when Wallace, Demarius and Walker weren't doing much he started 3-3. Foster was banged up as well and he's squeaked by a couple people.
Like I said, boom or bust. I'm hoping Cincy at home can slow down Peyton. If they take away Demarius I'll feel a lot better. I expect Minnesota to blanket Wallace. LeVeon will be going against the Chiefs stout front,
so long as they contain him in the passing game its another plus matchup for me. Joique on the other hand will probably run wild against Chi-town. It may be to my benefit as I'm sure Tate won't get many looks with the ground
game securing the W. Foster won't do shit against Baltimore, I completely lucked out in that one.

I won by 5 I believe.

Superbowl this week.

My team at the moment.

QB (2)
mark sanchez
johnny manziel (will be dropped; had cam newton until last week but cut him and took the free call option on johnny foosball's upside.)

RB (2)
matt forte
jeremy hill
joique bell
giovanni bernard

WR (3)
demariyous thomas
julian edelman
brandon lafell
kenny stills
larry fitzgerald
kendall wright

TE (1)
julius thomas
larry donnell

DEF (1)
houston texans
kc chiefs

K (1)
graham gano
garret hartley (getting cut)

receiver is my only tough call.

perhaps te too with thomas being unreliable of late.

gotta roll with jeremy hill and matt forte right. bell could have a big game, but no way I can play him over hill and forte? someone agree with me please.

probably try and play waiver wire tonight for a defense, kicker, and maybe a qb.

drafted carson palmer and cam newton this year in a very qb centric league. fortunately i didn't miss with many other picks this year.

That's a pretty good team. I still like your chances. Peyton has really hit a rough patch lately. They've turned in to a running team with Anderson lately. Not sure if that's because of something being up with Peyton or just a change in scheme. Something seems up with him. Demaryius is the man, he'll get his. Mike Wallace...meh. Leveon will get his. I'm not sold on the chiefs D being stout. They give up a nice amount of yards per carry. Plus Leveon is their whole offense, rushing an receiving. Joique should get his this week. Walker...meh. No TE scares me other than Gronk. Tate...meh. He's had his games, mainly when Calvin wasn't around. Foster is going to be the whole focus of the Baltimore D.

My point is...he has some good plays and other guys who may or may not have a big game. I guess you can say that about anyone. However, I'd expect good games out of your entire lineup outside of Wilson and Kelce. Wilson can still get you just as much as Peyton gets him the way things have been trending. I think you have the edge in this matchup and I'd be curious to see what the projections are. I hope that my confidence in your team doesn't put a hex on it.

WR: Demaryius, Edelman and Stills and call it a day.

TE: Yeah, tough call. The answer seems obvious. Julius is the better player but has been inconsistent. Donnell is up and down too as well as any other TE this year. Coin flip but you'd feel dumb if you benched Julius and he had 2 TDs.

RB: I really feel like Bell will be better than Forte. Last time Forte played the Lions it was ugly. And it has been kind of ugly for him against lesser rush D's. Of course he also is a receiving threat and that has saved him in tough times. How do you bench Forte for Bell? It's a gutsy call but has the possibility of paying off. Hill and Forte seems like what you have to do but Hill and Bell could be what you look back on as what you should have done. Sorry. I'm probably not helping to convince you.

Like I said, opponent has a boom or bust team.

I"m projected to lose by 4 points. So, its not like he's heavily favored.

I'm curious to see how it turns out. Just promise to come back and let us know the results. I've got some work I have to get finished by 3 but I'll post my championship matchup here in a little while to see what people think.

^^^^ Beat me to it. I mean, its an 8 man league, but holy shit... No reason for any team to be that stacked outside of QB.

Even then, Cutler is money is garbage time.

edit: I wouldn't start the Brownies defense vs Carolina.
