Lost Dog Cafe (Arlington, VA)
Capital Grille (DC)
Carnivore (Nairobi)
Peter Lugar (NYC)
Tenh Penh (DC)
Pollo Rico (Clarendon)

Carnivore was an awesome experience. I liked the way you raise the little flag at the table, and the servers come back with the mounds of meat on huge skewers, and slice some more off right onto your plate. And the selection of things like crocodile, ostrich, waterbuck, and zebra made for great choices.

was stranded in nairobi for a week after rwanda 04 (someday I'll type up the story there simv)...

easily the best meal I've had. As a young teenager, having them bring around huge 'swords' with a hunk of meat on each was awesome. As 73 mentioned, the exotic selection was really fun.

Not sure I've ever eaten that much food in my life. If you are ever in nairobi, you absolutely have to stop by.

Hartebeest was my favorite meat.

I've never had a better meal than the one at Buca di Beppo for my buddies pre-bachelor party dinner. That place is amazing. Wish there was one near St Louis. I also always hit the Lube whenever I get back to Ohio. Love those Arizona Ranch and Buckeye BB-Q wings.

Round these parts, I love me some Imo's Pizza. If you're ever in the St. Louis area, sniff one out...it's worth it.

I am fortunate enough to live in the same region as the best pizza on the planet.

Gino's East in Chicago, favorite restaurant of all time, I think.

The steaks out here are good, too. Someone mentioned Lowry's, and ya it's 'good' but, I don't think you can beat The Chicago Chop House. I also love Gibson's, it's a very close second.

Another place I happened to have the best Filet Mignon I've ever eaten at Maxwell's when I was in South Carolina. I haven't been there but once, but I sure would love to give a few more menu items a try.
