Bill Cosby had some classic albums from the 60's. Revenge! is probably the best comedy album I've ever heard. Current guys I like are Chapelle and David Cross. Two older guys who haven't been mentioned: Redd Fox and Don Rickles. Fox had some of the first "blue" comedy albums ever recorded, which older people swear by. I think Rickles has the best comic timing of all time. Every time I see him on TV he absolutely owns the room. Even when he's in a group of comedians, he's the king. Here's a clip of him from Letterman:

Hicks, Carlin, Hedberg in that order. RIP all of my favorite comedians. :(

Nick Swardson was fucking funny when I saw him on the Funny or Die comedy tour, though. Same with Demetri Martin, although I thought Swardson was the best (this surprised me because I didn't like him at all before that night).

One of the best routines I've ever seen. With Sam, it's NSFW.

Kat Williams

For some reason I don't find Katt Williams funny........maybe its because I think that he's Eddie Griffin's alter ego. :wink2:

Actually, you are right. I never thought of that before. I never really got into Eddie Griffin. He may be the same as Kat, but to me, Kat has no boundaries and will crack on anything, which is what makes it so funny. I'd rather laugh at shit I already know about. That's why I liked Sam Kinninson, too.

Gotta go with Zach Galifianakis, Jim Norton and Norm MacDonald. Brian Regan too.

I heard Norm a few months back on a radio show and he's still got whatever it is I like about him. I always thought Dirty Work was an underrated dumb but hilarious film.

I've seriously never heard of that. When did it come out? I'm always looking for a good comedy to rent on the weekends. I've run out of good new releases.
