FIFA 12 (official thread)

Just finished my first season with Spurs. Won the EPL, League Cup and FA Cup.

I'm in the offseason now... I've bought Iago Falque after he spent last season on loan from Juventus. I've tried buying Adebayor as well, but Man City is asking far too much IMO. He started to come around for me toward the end of the season once I got a better handle on how to use him. With Defoe and Altidore in the fold I'll hold out and see if they meet me on price. If not, I've already picked up a cheap young transfer and a cheap young free agent to backfill the position. I've also bought Tim Howard. Brad Friedel had hinted at retirement all season, so Howard was my top priority. I had already sold off Heurelho Gomes during the first season, so I was already kinda thin at the position. Plus, Friedel had regressed 5 OVR over the span of the season. He didn't retire however, and I re-signed him as a backup.

Real Madrid appears ready to back up the armored truck for Luka Modric. I've turned down two offers so far, one of them was for 76 million - 50% over his estimated value. I play a lot thru the middle of the pitch though, and I need a player of his skill at his position. It's not as if I'm hurting for money at this point, and even though the transfer fee could be spent on a lot of other useful replacements the next best transfer listed player at his position would be a drop of 9 OVR.

I'll play. Can't guarantee I'll be any good. Do you have to have a virtual pro to play the club shit?

I don't think so, at least you didn't used to have a virtual pro to play the club stuff. Anyone else interested in getting a league/club together

Sooooo I didn't realize if you start a career as player/manager, your player doesn't move with you when you go to a new team. Pretty much rendering your Virtual Pro useless. So I deleted that career, and I am starting a new one.

Rubbish

yes, Mac and I tried it out, can be fun if we get enough people...

think we should try a league as well, because playing as a club seems to get boring because your not playing seasons or anything

Sounds good. I'd love to play a CAM role for a team like Man City (D. Silva or Nasri), Chelsea (Lampard), or AC Milan (Boateng).

So I bumped it up to Legendary, and played around with sliders some...it's helped with fouls.

I've only played one game as the Crew and beat Toronto 3-1.

I JUST WANT THE CPU AI TO SHOOT MORE FROM LONG RANGE!!!

If I get Live anytime soon, which is likely, I'd be more than willing to play. But for now, that's TBD.

Now's the time to do it. They offer some insane deals for live. I know one week they were offering 3 months for 10 bucks at the dashboard.
