I've been playing as a created player in Career Mode as well. I'm also a CAM, but I'm American and started myself out at Columbus. I think listing you for a loan right away is pretty much an automatic thing for this mode, and it didn't make as much sense in my case since I started off as one of the top-5 players on the team. It was also weird - being loan listed with the MLS calendar - since my player was doing well I was absolutely inundated with transfer and loan offers throughout the season, during the summer window. Had offers from some pretty big clubs like Inter, Barca, Liverpool & PSG. That seemed a bit unrealistic for a 17 year-old with a half a season in the MLS, so I turned them all down. We were top of the league anyway and I wanted to win some hardware. The Crew steamrolled the league and the playoffs to lift the cup. I got my share of goals, but I focused more on getting assists and led the league in that category.

I'm on my second season now, and I wanted to take a more realistic step so I agreed to a loan deal with Nottingham Forest during the winter window. When I came aboard they were second place, and after taking maximum points in my first eight matches we are now at the top of the table. After a successful loan spell I might look to sign permanently with a bigger club in Europe.

I like in this mode that you have to play the manager's tactics and not your own. I wish though that before making a move to another team you could see what that manager favors. I've had to adapt at Forest to play more of a RCM role - a bit more defensive responsibility and I don't get to play as centrally. Unless I force the issue, for half the match my player is relegated to the top half of the screen, which I'm not usually comfortable with.

I did get a callup for the USMNT - had a hat trick on my debut. That was odd, since my player is more of a table-setter than a scorer at this stage. Got in to a couple more games, but haven't been called back into camp since, which is kinda odd. The players that have been getting called in for the US have me scratching my head - a ton of players that not only don't get called up IRL, but guys I've never heard of at all. Weird.

I started a Brazilian RB and was also transferred to Cheltenham Town, so yeah, loan listing is automatic - however it's a huge step up from last year. You actually see the results of putting in the time with your player.

I got through the first half of my season with BVB, had a lot of time on the first team, then two days into January I was transferred to Barca. At this point I'm 19 and a 78 overall, and have started nearly every game for the Catalans. Based on your experience, maybe that happens frequently. Either way I've been killing it, racking up 8.7's-9.4's, playing a LCM and RCM role. Can't say it's not fun.

I also have not made the German squad since being called up before. I'm hoping I can improve enough to make the World Cup squad at the end of the season. Honestly, at this point I've put more time into my Player Career than I have my Juve Manager Career. But that's just personal preference.

It's been feast or famine since I got my pro to Nottingham Forest. There are some games that my CPU teammates do nothing but play long balls out of the back, and it freezes me out of games. I did finally manage to get recalled to the USMNT, but it came during a poor run of form where I was getting frozen out of games and was forcing the issue trying to get involved. Odd timing.

Speaking of odd timing, I'm frustrated by the way the calendar has worked out for my loan spell. I went on loan at the end of the MLS season. I thought I'd be finishing up the Championship season with Forest and then going back to Columbus - not so. I'm there for a full calendar year, so after helping Forest get promoted I'll be leaving halfway thru the EPL season. Then it's back to Columbus to start a new MLS season. I'd like to move out on a permanent deal at this point, but I'm not sure I'll get a deal I'll like during the January window. That would mean another partial season with Columbus until something comes along in the summer window.

I've noticed that the calendar differences have thrown some other things off too. During the half season in the Championship, I was giving short-term performance targets by the manager like normal. My season targets were out of whack - it wasn't counting my projected totals correctly. Then for the first half of the Premiership season, I stopped getting short-term targets from the manager altogether.

I hope all of this gets fixed after getting a permanent move and getting my player on the international calendar full-time. I'm also annoyed by the fact that by starting my player out in MLS, it's showing transfer amounts in dollars rather than euros or pounds sterling. I know that's an option you can choose in a managerial career, but I think it just defaulted to dollars for the player career. All in all, I'd recommend avoiding MLS for player careers. That's unfortunate, because it seems like a logical starting point if you want to create a young American or Canadian player.

I didnt know what it was really, so i responded with "?"

you never answered back

How does it work

It's basically 11v11. On Pro Clubs, you can pick which ever position you want within your club. In Drop-In Games it's 11 people trying to pick striker so, good luck.

The Pro Clubs isn't as much fun when you don't have more than 4 people, because the computer intelligence is terrible. All they do is turn the ball over if you don't call for it. It's something that I'm socked that they haven't fixed, and also NOT shocked since it's EA...
