Gonzaga DB Marcus Lewis takes official visit to Miami

Lewis was previously committed to Virginia Tech and Florida and has been garnering outside interest from Michigan and Ohio State. The defensive back, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 159 overall recruit by ESPN, said he doesn’t plan to take any more visits at the moment; he has enough on his mind as he weighs the pros and cons of his remaining schools.

I find it very odd that Lewis went from possibly going to some of the top programs in the country to having a top 3 of Miami, Wash St and UK... Could be wanting to be a big fish in a small pond or just not wanting to go to a big program, but it seems weird after committing to UF and having VA Tech as a favorite for so long

Just speculation but there's a buzz in the DC area that he has some issues.

One of the reasons UMD backed off him months ago.
