FL RB Jordan Lyle (Miami, FL Signee)

I don't mind that Fla RBs flip last minute. I mind that it constantly happens, and yet we continue to get Fla RBs to commit early to us year after year, knowing that they'll flip. Does this coaching staff never learn?!

thats pretty much where Im at. For 2025 we are supposedly the leader for another RB from Fla while the state of OH has two 4 star RB's. im of the opinion we just take both the OH boys (if they want obviously) but then again im a 45 year old never has been lol

Exactly, I think Davis and Jackson would be a great class from Ohio if we can just lock that up. Don't bother with these Florida RBs anymore, the talent gap in kids that will stay true to their commitment is minimal imo. And Florida RB commits either decommit or don't perform here for whatever reason. I realize that is a likely an overgeneralization, but the recent Florida RB commits go as follows: Lyle (apparently transferring), Crowley, Snead

Problem in my eyes is that Alford is our RB coach and has real ties to Florida. Don't get me wrong, that has helped in the past for some recruits but for whatever reason he can't keep commitments from his RBs down there or they leave quickly, and really prospects from Florida that come here in general. Maybe it is a fluke, but looks more like a pattern to me.

You people have lost your damn minds. Don't recruit Florida RBs at all as a policy? You're insane.

i never said dont recruit them at all im just saying you cant recruit them at the expense of just as good backs in your own backyard. i get that there needs to be a balance struck but thats for the guys making millions to find. just frustrating to watch year after year of Alford swinging and missing. Look at our depth the last 2 years once injuries hit. we were running Chip and Chop out there! (who I love to death)
