2018 FL (SC) DE Xavier Thomas (Clemson Verbal)

Truly a common theme in virtually all of the articles I've read on recruits reactions to visiting tOSU. They also mention the intensity of the coaches driving the players as well. A few have gone so far as to compare it to other schools they've visited & they all say Ohio State stands out as going at it the hardest.

Exactly, love the precedent we are setting. Not only does UFM have the recruiting skills to get anyone he wants, but he also shows everyone how hard you have to work. Hence why we not only get good athletes, but also good people and hard workers. About as good as it gets to have the privilege to be a Buckeye right now, jump on board.

More specific to Xavier, OSU has an awesome engineering school and as to the best DL coach out there...pretty sure everyone knows LJ Sr's track record. Keep getting him up here, I like where we stand.

Coach Johnson visited Xavier earlier this week & will return to see him again in a few weeks. Plans on making a return trip to Columbus for camp in the summer.

Xavier once again raved about how much he & his family enjoyed their spring visit to tOSU a few weeks back. He and his family were the extremely impressed by the Buckeyes showing at the NFL Draft.

2018 Rivals100: No. 1 named, new five-stars

"As a dominant defensive end in the state of South Carolina, Thomas has already drawn comparisons to former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney. While it's still early for that type of praise, it's clear Thomas is a special talent. He already has terrific size and speed off the edge and moves incredibly well for a player his size. He looks like one of the best talents to come out of the state in recent years. South Carolina appears to have the early lead for Thomas, but Clemson, Alabama and several others are also in the mix." – Woody Wommack, Rivals.com Southeast Recruiting Analyst

OSU will make a STRONG push for Xavier...
